I take NO2, a proformance enhancer which contains arginine alpha-ketoglutarate. Its listed as a dietary supplement and has not been "tested" by the FDA. Will this have a negative affect on my drug screening test?

Odds are very good that the supplement that you are taking is a blend of vitamins, amino acids, carbs, and/or protein. There may be a random herb in there but it should not be a problem when it comes to a drug test. The drug test you will be taking, assuming it is a urine test, will check for the more mainstream drugs, marajuana, cocaine, opiates, and other street drugs. Yes, you should inform your recruiter if you can, but I doubt it would matter, if your test turns positive for drugs, telling them your on supplements doesnt really matter cause they dont test for that. There are certain protein markers that are derived from the body processing the drugs. Bottom line, if you are clean, you are clean, supplements that you buy at GNC probably wont trip a drug test.

Most agencies have mandatory random drug testing. They will also drug test you after an on the job accident. Not only is it illegal for you to smoke weed, but as a corrections officer or police officer, this is also an ethics violation as well. My advice is do not become a corrections officer or any other type of law enforcement if you smoke weed, or even have a desire to smoke weed. It will eventually bite you in the rear.

If you buy it at GNC, then it isnt illegal for you to take it.
Nothing ethically nor morally nor legally wrong with it.

Tell them about it before you take the test. Take the bottle with you. Be honest and you should come out okay.

I think you are required to list anything you are taking before the sample is tested. It is always better to tell them or ask them up front about it.

<>I think you might be in trouble. Take the stuff and go talk to your investigating officer immediately! 'Fess up and ask him/her what to do.

Just be sure that you disclose it. It's when they find things that you haven't told them about that you'll have problems.

Good Luck.
