If I have unpaid parking tickets and minor traffic tickets that have already turned into warrants and I go to the courthouse to try to make a payment plan, can I be arrested? These tickets are all over one year old and I have never went to court for them.

I have two fines for driving without a liscence. one for parking in a handicap spot. and one for having a head lamp out. The rest are parking tickets, about $500-$550 worth.

are we too lenient with Peodophiles in the UK should the Laws be tightened and the sentences be stronger i was involved with child protection for about twenty years and saw the darkest side of what these people Men AND Women can stoop to, yet they are not punished anymore that they were years ago society seems to accept it happens deal with it and move on try telling that to a child if these people need treatment make sure they accept it if they need locking up make sure it's until they no longer pose a threat whenever that could be. or does the public have any other ideas on how we stop them.

The association of chief police officers also want handsfree banned as well where does the line get drawn. and what about single manned police vehicles the driver takes his or her hand off the steering wheel to fumble for the mic button is this not just as dangerous why cant they be the target for the safety campaigners as well .

I find it beyond belief that the guy driving the merc was let off with a caution , caught on camera bang to right's and the cop's gave him a caution ,surely those two cop,s were negligent in their duty and all they did was tell the entire nation it,s ok to drive like a maniac cos we'l just tell you off if we catch you, an absolute waste of tax payer's money and police recource's .

At the time I lived in Newport Beach California. It was dark, about 9:30 pm and I was walking home from the store. It is a hilly residential neighborhood and I'm about a quarter mile from home when a police car past by me. I was a block from home when the same car came back and stopped me. The officer asked how old I was and where I lived. After I told him I was 17 he said "this is what I do to people that run from me" and he proceeded to frisk me. With my hands on the hood of the car he kicked my feet far apart and checked me for weapons. Then, still in the same position he unzipped my pants, put his hand down between me and my underware and ran the tips of his fingers across the bottom of my testicles. I was Scared to death I couldn't move. He then had me stand up and told me to go. I had always felt he was trying to get me to flinch so he could hit me. I never told anyone this untill about a year ago, I'm now 59 years old. Do I have a case, is there a statute a limitations?

pulls me over. it is 11pm and he says he pulled me over for a cracked windshield (minor crack, not visible at night from any distance). he asked for id, which was in my wallet under the seat. he would not let me get it out, made me get out of the car, then searched it. he found drugs under the seat (which could have been mine, or the 2 female passengers in my car). long story short, got drug charges for possession and sales. he let the 2 girls go and arrested me. i have been to court 4 times for postponments. my lawyer filed a motion to dismiss, but the DA keeps postponing it. what is he trying to do? there are pictures proving the crack was not visible, and i think it is harassment or discrimination. what do you think? i am a man in central california with previous DUI's and a prison record for same. {This is what happened to a friend of mine} and I am curious what you think is going on. thanx for your input.

Stopped by state trooper for speeding. I knew I was speeding, he knew I was speeding, so I'm not contesting that fact.

My question is that when he pulled me over, (in excess of 15 miles over the posted limit) he told me that he was going to let me go with a warning, and to slow down.

With that warning he still gave me the ticket for speeding. However, he didn't require me to sign the ticket which states that I would appear in court.

I have been issued tickets before and was ALWAYS made to sign them (or be taken in to the magistrate for failing sign).

I don't want to delay getting a traffic attourney, but I don't want to call the court clerk and possibly bring up something that is better off forgotten.

Any advice, suggestions, or ever been in this predicument (of not signing a ticket that is).

My husband is a deputy and has been for a while. I know what they have to go through. I simply wanted to know what I could do about this other policeman in this hate organization. It was as simple as that. To those whom I offended I am deeply sorry!

ok this is very weird..but.... It started saturday night,but there is a guy who is sneaking around my house(and other houses)looking in windows,but the police can't get the idiot. he seems to appear suddenly and goes away just as quick. This is my problem, he saw me in my bedroom,i wasn't naked,but i was wearing revealing clothes. Its just that i like having my window open and of course my curtains are closed but he opened the curtain cause i turned around and thats when i saw him. he scared me and now i am scared,my dad sayshe will be caught but as long as this is going on, people on my street are freaked out. I kow Im babbling, but I just want ppl's advice or thier own story about this. thank u.

I am interested in becoming a police officer, however I'd hate to spend a lot of time going through the process only to find out that I will be disqualified in the end. Concerning eczema , I have not had an outbreak for about 6 years, and it was not major.

Suicidal ideation is not an accurate description, but there is a record of this on an old medical chart. I have never attempted or seriously considered this as an option. In fact i volunteered for a suicide hotline.

In our city, which is very small, there is a policeman who is in the KuKluxKlan. Everyone knows about it but no one does anything. I think this is VERY wrong. He is morally corrupt. It really makes me sick and he is a disgrace to our town. He's worked on the force for about 15 years and I think that's why no one says anything. Is there anyone out there who knows the correct people to call to solve this problem? Remember, EVERYONE in the city knows about it, including the city manager and mayor.

im in late years of hs and been thinking about becoming a cop. ima girl. i live in Chicago and have few questions. im confused about the degree u have to get in order to be a cop. which one? associates or bachelors-and how long is each? and wats the difference. how often u get paychecks-every week or by every two? do u chose to ride with a partner? also can u tell me if this is close of wat ur getitn as a cop or something?(link below) i dont really have anyone to ask bout this, so if ur a cop can u tell me something about the job wherever u r? ill b really thankful.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Department of Homeland Security has sent an advisory to the National Football League and local officials advising of a possible, uncorroborated bomb threat against some NFL stadiums.

The threat, posted on a Web site, alleges that dirty bombs could be used this weekend against seven stadiums -- in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland. The bombs were to be delivered by truck, the posting said.

Notice the first sentence of the second paragraph, that they don't give proof of the website? Do you think to prove this piece of news that CNN and the government should prove the source in which it came? Why didn't they post the website of the information in the first place?
