If I have unpaid parking tickets and minor traffic tickets that have already turned into warrants and I go to the courthouse to try to make a payment plan, can I be arrested? These tickets are all over one year old and I have never went to court for them.

I have two fines for driving without a liscence. one for parking in a handicap spot. and one for having a head lamp out. The rest are parking tickets, about $500-$550 worth.

Technically yes, but I think the municipality would rather have the money than to jail and feed you.

Have someone else go in and pay them you will be arrested trust me it happens to alot of people

Well you have to have the money or I wouldn't bother with it the only other thing you can do is go to the courthouse in the morning and get put on the docket and ask for a extension if the judge feels like giving it to you you will have to report back to court with the payments other than that they might throw you in jail, I would just play my luck and save the money to pay it because either way you could face jail time...it's a warrant they don't go away til' it's paid period

You need to discuss this with the Court that issued the warrant. The constable has no control over payment, the Court does. Call them, explain to thecourt clerk what happened and then see if you can come in a settle with the Court. Do it soon, if any peace officer stops you, you will be arrested and taken to jail to bond out. Act quickly.

You bet your happy little azz you can. The court may not agree with your so-called payment arrangements. If you have not paid them, the court can issue a warrant when they feel that you are not trying to the best of your ability.

Call your local municipal court and ask.

Where I live, they want your cash more than they want you in jail, so they don't arrest you when you show up to make arrangements to pay.

You won't be arrested. The court wants your money alot more than they want you. It's a good idea to get them taken care of.

You need to have a lawyer contact the court to set something up.
