I find it beyond belief that the guy driving the merc was let off with a caution , caught on camera bang to right's and the cop's gave him a caution ,surely those two cop,s were negligent in their duty and all they did was tell the entire nation it,s ok to drive like a maniac cos we'l just tell you off if we catch you, an absolute waste of tax payer's money and police recource's .

It would not have been up to the arresting officers to decide to give the guy a caution. He would have been taken to the nearest custody block available and the decision would have been made for them by a more senior officer such as an Inspector under the guidance of the Crown Prosecution Service. So lay off the front line officers, they have a bad enough time dealing with the criminals anyway.

I did not see it so cannot comment.

Feel free to lodge an official complaint. You can you know. But you also need to think whether, as the CPS would probably say, there was a realistic prospect of a successful conviction.

By arresting, taking into custody, interviewing and then taking to court, the driver, this would cost an awful lot more of the taxpayers money.

Unfortunately I did not see the program, but from what you say it"s an absolute disgrace. I suppose the two coppers were nearing the end of their shift and didn"t want to do the paperwork. What a job, driving round in a top of the range car, making a bloody nuisance of themselves all at the Taxpayers expense. It"s about time they spent more time catching the real criminals in our society.

Funny when someone else is given a break, you complain. Now, I bet you or some other crazy driver would complain just as much if they weren't given a break. Silly
