Whats the difference between escape conspiracy and escape?

Conspiracy means that you were planning to escape. You did the research. Escaping means you went through with it and were out. You can also be cahrged with both at the same time if the escape involved excessive planning which took months to accomplished. Anybody who helped with the escape and did any casing or helped acquire information can also be charged with conspiracy.

Conspiracy is a crime as long as a) there is a plan and b) any step taken to accomplish said plan. This means you can talk about a crime, but once you act on it--it becomes conspiracy.
The penalty for conspiracy is usually one step below the actual crime. So it's not as severe but it is serious.
