The duma[s]s left his keys in the truck and had his back turned to it. He called the police and the sheriff. It is not a high priority to them. It's Sedgwick County, Wichita, Kansas. Where should we look for the truck? Where do theives go with stolen trucks when they're through with them?

were pursuing a man in a van. i didnt know the circumstances of the chase i witnessed but it made the newspaper this morning. its under www.acadiananow.com click local news and the title is police officers fire shots at suspect, sometthing like that, i asked yesterday why the police officers terminated the chase the majority of the answers were maybe it was for a minor traffic violation and the officers felt the chase was to risky to the general public but this guy tried to run a police officer down. was it still nescessary to terminate the chase even for attempted murder? please only police officers respond after you read the article. i saw the suspect stopped being chased and he just walked away. i call the police dept and gave a description and direction headed. and no, he didnt appeared injured from the police gunshots

I drive a shuttle bus for Holiday Inn. I side swiped a car while I was turning right (exiting from a gas pump at the gas station) and the other car was in my blind spot so I didn't see him. The damages should be just some scratched paint, but might cost 500 dollars. I never signed any papers saying I would pay any damages and they never briefed me on what would happen in the case of an accident. I'm not sure if I'm under the company's insurance, but they did ask me for my driver's abstract before I started working. Please help!

My BF was killed 12 years ago by a hit & run driver, 5 years later this driver was identified, the state's attorney refused to file charges, said the statute was up on the crime. You can kill someone with a vehicle, hide for 5 years and be off scot free? Isn't that "vehicular HOMICIDE"? Isn't there no statue on HOMICIDE? I need some help as I want to go to this state's atty.'s superior but I need to know what the proper charge for hit and run would be. Thanks for your help!

For example, here in Utah, when police are helping someone they have yellow flashing on their lights. I just saw someone pulled over and ticketed and there were only blue and red lights. I know they have different visual light codes for different events.

..and the cops use to stun people like drug dealers and such? The reason I am asking is my crazy neighbor blows up these most incredibly loud "bombs" I call them. They just have to be illegal to use, and the guy is a known nut case anyway. Percussion grenades simply cant be as loud as these things are. The whole neighborhood, and we all live way out in the country, have had problems with this guy. We have called the cops on him cause bullets have hit peoples houses and once my b.f. and I were outside and 2 of them went by our heads! But, he likes to terrorize the neighborhood like he did tonite w/those bomb things and because we live so far in the country, it takes the cops at least 20 minutes to get here, and if they don't hear this for themselves, they cant do anything!!! Can anyone help here, Please??????~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it fortunate and surprising that there Al Queda is still calm after 9/11? What could be the possible reasons of this? Why is there no second terrorist attack on US soil?

My 13 yo son just got in trouble for going into a house with another kid and they took a playstation2 game. The officer said that my son was the follower and the other kid was the one who ent in first and said"Lets take the game". The people who live in the house have either moved or were kicked out because the electric is off but they still have their dogs there and I guess some other stuff.
Anyways, they took a game but if they reach the lady who lived there and she wants to press charges...it will be a felony (for B&E or something)and they will take my son to jail and then JDC or someplace. I will have to go to court and everything.
How long will a felony stay on his record? Will this stay and he will have to put it on his job apps and other documents? just curious!

Bernard Kerik has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes from contractors and failing to report kickback income. As you will remember, in 2004, Bernard Kerik was George Bush's first choice to be the Homeland Security Director.

Homeland Security director is a cabinet-level position in charge of some of the most sensitive and important work in the US government. Do you think that Bush used good judgement when tapped this criminal for such an important job?
