I don't mean to say the town is corrupt, the law enforcement agencies are. In fact, the sherriff was on 60 minutes in January, and in May he got arrested for stealing money from a certain fund. I dont dare say more cause I dont like the "good 'ole boy" network. What do you folks think?

welcome to small town america, Not picking on sheriffs but why would men spend thousands of dollars to get into an office that may only pay 20,000 a year.

And in some cases the people elected are not profession, have no training,

so it is really voters fault for electing these people instead of looking at trained professionals ( regardless of party)

It is the way of things. All of government on every level is corrupt, the only difference is the degree. A person can be honest going in but in order to get anything done they have to scratch someone's back. Before long that honesty is corrupted. All you can do is report what you know and back it up with facts.

When u find the answer I'm real certain most other towns/cities/counties would love to know. It's like that in 99.9 1/2% of towns/cities/counties, has been for eons. I'd like nothing better than to see someone come up with a good solution. Good Luck!!!

Little towns always have these inbred good ole boy politics. Big cities, too. And government in general. Lookie! A gas crisis! Guess who's money is in oil? The president. Coinky-dink? I think not.

If you have factual proof of corruption, report it to the FBI.
