I want to write a complimentary letter to my local Police, Fire and Ambulance Stations... I need to keep it short and I want it to be the best ever yet so it can always be remembered. I'm a teenager and as I see it a thank-you letter is rarely sent by youth these days. I really respect them for what they do and I want to let them know that. I see them driving by but I don't want to disturb them to say 'Hi'. Sometimes I'll see them at a store and ask for an autograph, they seem very surprised yet proud. So, if there is anything someone can help me with, I'd really appreciate it. Thank-you.

In California the law states kids have to attend school and parents are fined if they are truant. Yet, truant kids eventually get expelled and that's it. Cops can no longer arrest them. Is this the best way to handle the problem? Shouldn't there be stiffer consequences?

I received a ticket (traffic citation) in the mail for allegedly failing to stop at stop sign. I was very surprised because I was never stopped by a police officer and our town does not use traffic cameras. I did have an incident with an aggressive driver that morning though. We were both at opposite stop signs (it's a 2 way stop) and since I was there first, I went first. The driver acted as if I had cut him off. He tailgated me, following me until I turned into a busy shopping center. I suspect that driver either took down my license plate and reported it to a policeman or was in fact an off duty policeman who wrote up the ticket the next day. I say this because the ticket lists Tuesday morning as the date of the "infraction" and the ticket issued date is listed as the following day (Wed). I've never known anyone to receive a traffic citation in the mail, especially without a policeman being at the scene. Has anyone experienced this? I live in MA and this doesn't seem right to me.

What can I do? This guy lies through his teeth claiming that I threaten him, peep at his child and make him uncomfortable to cross the front of the house and assorted other lies. This guy has been harrassing me and my wife for years but we've pretty much put up with this psycho's tirades to keep the peace and be good neighbors to our other neighbors. What can we do?

My fellow Americans

You may have noticed Government's increasing detachment from the people. I'd like to remind you of what it's supposed to be like and propose a little street theater to put it back the way it's supposed to be.

What do you think about strapping on the pistol every July 4th, to remind your public servants who is The Sovereign. Exercise your 2nd Amendment rights.

If you can't do this in your State, because your servants think statutes override your Constitutional rights, all the more reason to do it.

I am just curious and want to hear everyone's opinion. Do you think that a State Trooper's wife should try EXTRA hard not to break the law? (speeding, no seat belt, etc.) What are your opinions of Trooper's wives in general?
