98% of cops are the scum of the earth. They have the highest rate of spousal abuse of any profession. They take advantage of their power. Their priorities are messed up with spending more time giving people speeding and seatbelt tickets while letting rapists, murderers, and them go free.

swagga and John that is just NOT TRUE. SOME are bad cops...there's SOME bad lawyers, clerks, car salesmen, taxi drivers and many other occupations too. Including teachers. I do not believe and could find no statistic saying cops have the highest rate of any profession.
Fact is I know someone - an officer and a good one - who was involved in a spousal abuse. As the victim. He ended up with a skull fracture. He did NOT retaliate against her in any way and he was not the one at fault. I've known quite a few officers in several locations and NONE of them had anger issues much less DV ones.
A **LOT** of people in various professions take advantage of power. But most importantly cops DO NOT "spending more time giving people speeding and seatbelt tickets while letting rapists, murderers, and them go free." The COURTS and LAWYERS let such people go free - the officers cannot do any more than their own job - and if you think there aren't officers out there that are very much bothered by pervs and dangers being released you are sadly mistaken. They go back and make cases tighter and gather evidence and do the best they can to put criminals away because THEIR wives and girlfriends and kids are out here too. And there have been rapists and murderers caught from pulling over that speeder or seat belt violation too.
There is NO profession perfect. Someone in contstruction or banking beats their wife it might get action but not headlines. A cop does the same thing and it's headlines. That doesn't mean there's more of it - it means the media thinks it'll sell papers.

Same reason any other people are, they are disgusting perverts. However, I don't believe all cops are child molesters, nor even the majority of them.

They are mostly comprised of men, some feel they are above the law and that people won't report them especially if they are immigrants or illegal aliens. Most child molesters are heterosexual males.

They are not, there may be a few officers, just like there are a few butchers, a few bus drivers and so on that are, but as a group they are some of the best people you will ever know

All cops are not child molesters.
Only a small percentage may be.
