Are BB guns illegal in NYC, and if so, what are the consequences if caught with one by the authority?

I use to live in Florida and i had one, which is legal over there at the age of 17 , bot now that i moved to ny i wanted to know the rules as far as having one

I don't know the rules for having a BB gun in New York City, but I do know that if you are carrying one around concealed, its a federal crime.

bb guns are illegal and whomever is caught with one should be treated like any other person with any kind of illegal gun
