I want to write a complimentary letter to my local Police, Fire and Ambulance Stations... I need to keep it short and I want it to be the best ever yet so it can always be remembered. I'm a teenager and as I see it a thank-you letter is rarely sent by youth these days. I really respect them for what they do and I want to let them know that. I see them driving by but I don't want to disturb them to say 'Hi'. Sometimes I'll see them at a store and ask for an autograph, they seem very surprised yet proud. So, if there is anything someone can help me with, I'd really appreciate it. Thank-you.

Thanks. I wrote the letter and now I need to draw the patrol car... once I'm done I'm going over to the Department to hand it over. Someone asked me what I'd like in return from them. I said "If I could just make ONE Police Officer look down at me and smile, I've got all I ever needed." And that is my goal. I hope I achieve it :)
Sorry, I can't choose a best answer b/c they're all perfect and helpful in a way. Thank-you once again.

That is such an awsome idea... I bet they'll love it. If you edit and clean up what you just wrote here I think that'd be perfect.

I was a volunteer fireman until last August when I moved out of my fire district. It really doesn't matter a whole lot what you write. They will appreciate the effort and your sincere thoughts. I would suggest your write something you sincerely feel, and try to keep it short, just a few sentences. We have gotten letters like this from kids before on our department, and I personally have to say that we often do not give kids enough credit for showing respect and gratitude because a lot of the time we focus on the ones causing problems.
If you write a thanks letter that is just a few sentences long they will read it at their monthly meeting and they will appreciate it every bit as much as something you spend a lot of time on. In summary, I recommend you write something short that expresses how you feel. :) Good Luck!

As the Sheriff of a county in Kansas I'd be proud to receive a letter with the sentiments you have already written in your question. Just write a letter and write what you feel. Don't try to make it flowery, write it like you were talking to them in person.

That's an awesome idea. Too few take any time to let them know we appreciate them being out there.

Many do care and are in support despite the vocal critics and whiners. Stay safe out there.

I'm not much of a writer myself but what your doing is great. Just write something on here.

To any police, fireman, abulance, or soldiers,

Thank you so much for everything that you do. People hardly ever give you the respect that you deserve. You are the people that really make your country work.

Thanks again,

Bobby

Thank you. Just seeing that there are folks who appreciate us in the way that you do is really rewarding. Thanks again for the kind words. Folks like you honor those who serve in public safety in a way that no tangible expression could ever hope to.

Hey...you just wrote it when you expanded on your question. Just write from the heart and what you feel. The honesty and sincerity will come through naturally.
