If they don't want to take advantage of a free (for them anyway) education, maybe we should introduce them to the joys of turning big rocks into little ones, or insuring that we have the cleanest roadsides in the world. Send 'em to my station, we have lots of equipment that needs washed everyday. Detailing a squad car or particularly a quint (a BIG fire truck) with a toothbrush will make a day at school mighty inviting.

Absolutely. If a child, regardless of age, has been reported by the school as truant, they should be picked up, and put in a holding cell until someone can pick them up. I know its tough, but if there were real consequences to truancy, I would have gone a lot more often. I would then make the child show up for a court date, and be sentenced a minimum of 10 hrs community service, with increasing penalties for frequent truancy. I think it could be a good deterrent, or at least a good way for the community to get some free labor. LOL

I Think That If Children 14 Or Older Decide That School Is Not For Them They Shouldn't Be Forced To Go,But At The Same Time They Should Be Forced To Get A Job So At Least They Was Be Forced To Educate Themselves In The ''Real Word'' and Be Forced To Boost The Economy.

Where i live if a juvenile skips school for any reason other then an emergency they get suspended and sent out to the juvenile detention center for the entire time they are suspended. Nothing happens to the parent though but it should. The parents should be fined or jailed with the child and teach them both a lesson.

No, that wouldn't solve anything! It would just make the kids who already hate school hate "the man" even more. Why would you want to put kids in jail, the corrections system is supposed to be about rehabilitation, so how would taking a kid and putting him in jail for not going to school make the child any better off. I think if anything it would traumatize them and/or give them a complex!

if the kids don't want to go to school then leave em be it will bite them in the butt later
And the only reason they have to go to school is because they were getting all the jobs and were working for cheap, and they were to much competition for the adults. So to fix it the government put labor laws and required schooling. (If a kid wants to work they should be able to)

With the certain prices this is unlikely that you're going to manage to get a waiver, which may propose that the defense force is basically closed to you. That the prices were "deferred" skill no longer something to the defense force because by doing the probation and community service you've been admitting guilt. you won't be able to conceal your criminal heritage - no understand that they are juvenile offenses and also you've heard that your juvenile record is "sealed." once you signal the waiver you furnish the defense force get admission to to all of your criminal and clinical heritage with out any privateness Act or HIPAA. They get to work out each little thing. the defense force commonly does no longer grant waivers for misdemeanors concerning violent offenses or drugs. Your "major Battery" fee (violent offense) mixed with "Obstructing" are killers, because the "Obstructing" contains interfering with criminal authority. you could pass see a Recruiter and be conscious what he/she says, yet comprehend that each genuinely one of the service branches now have waiting lists of folk who've 0 criminal and clinical themes and good grades/ASVAB rankings. in the experience that they could take them with out the more desirable attempt of employing for waivers why might want to they take you and create paintings for themselves? What we do as childrens can arise and chew us on the a**.

Yes, they should have to go to a school where they have to stay there, and their presence is immediately missed, and then they'd be easy to find. Say.... military school. Oh, yeah, the parents should have to pick up the tab... maybe then they'd know where their kids are at.
