When people ask a question which is a legal matter, why do people thumbs down answers which are correct in every aspect, but aren't the words they want to hear?

Common mistakes people make are an incorrect belief that shops must accept returns on items which are not faulty (they don't have to!) or that receiving goods or money in error makes them theirs (again it does not, everyone is entitled to make fair mistakes, even banks or mail order companies) so why do people constantly ignore and give the TD to sound answers in favour of the mistaken belief they can get something for nothing?

While in jail a warrent was served on him from another county for contempt of court for failure to pay child support. Is sentence that he is serving is about to be up., then he has to face these new contempt charges the day he is released. Will they give him a bond amount? He has not paid for 2 years. One of those years he was incarcerated. Are we looking at additional jail time. As soon as he finishes this sentence will they add on time for the child support?? I am real confused about this process

I have a copy of call of duty 4 for PS3 and my friend said i own the license to copy and use it for my own use, so i use bitlord to download it for PC and i get an email from comcast (my service provider) saying EA games contacted them telling them i broke copyright laws and such. well they dont know i have a copy of the game for a different console. Also, if that doesn't change the fact what will happen? will i be fined or something? i think if i got the game for PS3 it wouldnt matter if i got for PC to play with a friend.

ALSO - I stopped downloading the game at 0.9% cause i decided not to get it but didnt remove it from the loaded for a couple days, i just kept it on pause, does that matter?

Thanks.

My reason for wanting my own money is/was to buy An XMAS gift. My sister, who is a Jehovah's Witness denied me my right to buy myself an XMAS gift because of her non holiday celebrating beliefs. And I feel that isn't right. Is what she is doing illegal? She has the right to deny me money bur for her religious beliefs? I would think that wouldn't be legal but I am not sure.

I was skating at the local mall garage and the security gave my friend and I a trespassing order. We were longboarding trying to carve down the ramps, which sucked and now I regret even going there.

Now, what is this trespassing order and does it prevent me from going to this mall? When is it lifted and is it considered a felony? Will my college hear about this?

Okay, I am making my own website and it has stuff for myspace.

Okay, I know on other websites they use logos from sports teams and clothing brands and stuff to make layouts, icons, glitters, etc.

So I was wondering what I have to write so I dont get in trouble by the brand.

Like on most of the websites they just dont write anything

or they write something like no copyright infringement (SP) intended.

So what is the correct way, so I dont get sued or something?

Now that HR 2640 has passed both houses, and we await Bush to sign or not to sign the bill, is it good or bad for gun owners? My status of owning a gun is up in the air due to a mental health illness. I passed a preliminary firearms eligibility check and have no criminal record. The ATF will not give me a yes or no. I may end up hiring an attorney. I read both viewpoints of the gun groups. Has anyone been put in this situation and resolved it where they got their rights back?

in 92 a friend's brother was murdered in mo. they lured the man out. they beat him, they shot him. they buried him. the 2 guys who did it were charged with manslaughter. they served no time. what crimes besides murder, unlawful disposal of a corpse, and destroying evidence did they commit? ask more questions if need be. this was in cuba mo in 1992. we want to have this case looked at but want to be prepared with the charges we want filed if so. just think of the scenario and put your csi minds to work.

Have you ever looked at the concept of mapping within the criminal justice system? They intend to map not only offenders but the children of offenders. I have a theory that the purpose of inter-agency working, ID cards, DNA testing etc will one day lead to a society that is totally controlled and supervised through a computer controlled bureaucratic government subsidised organisation. They've sold everything else! Schools already use a system of fingerprinting and ID cards so that our children can have their dinner. I have no doubt that the worst thing about this will be the fact that the government will charge us for the privilege of total monitoring whilst employing a company incapable of fulfilling the role. I'd be interested in hearing of any company that has been successful in fulfilling this role. I'm not sure why our government wrote the 1998 Data protection act or why they have ever entered in to conversation regarding the human rights of individuals.

This person wrote me a check for a thousand dollars. Well when I took it to the bank it bounced. So I approached the person about his check. He said that he would give me fifty dollars now and give me the rest later. Just hold on to the check. Well I never saw him again. So I went to talk to the D. A. and he said he couldn't prosecute the person for writing a bad check because he gave me fifty dollar and I excepted. This broke the original contract. So by excepting the 50 dollars I broke the original contract. What other action can I take.
