Great question.

Blairs conversion to Catholicism is yet another enigma in the way this man conducts himself.

He can now go to confession and gain absolution for his ego driven whims which have led to the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people for no good reason.

The catholic/IRA connection is well established whether this was a catalyst in the release of these murderers we will never know.

First off, being Catholic is not a "persuasion" its what we call a religion. Second, isn't Gordon Brown the prime minister? Wasn't Blair a non catholic during his entire term?
I point that out because he has been out of office for a while now and he converted when? Friday?

So, being that he is no longer PM and was not a catholic while PM, I would have to say your question is a little factually inaccurate.

Yes I have often given something of a UMMM! I trusted Blair for about two weeks and he has done nothing to engage my trust since. Clown Brown has never had my trust and is in any event tainted by being a member of Blair's cabinet. Of course I do not think he will lose any sleep on my opinion and in any case his pension is a damn site safer than mine or anyone else's. In any event he will get a n expenses paid EC job when he finishes

The Good Friday Agreement which was instrumental in the release upon licence of both republican and loyalist killers (the latter selecting victims purely on the basis of religion), was approved by the majority of the elected policticians in NI, and adopted by a binding referendum in Northern Ireland and a separate one in the South.

Therefore, in answer to your question, I somehow doubt it.

The Catholic priests who offer absolution after IRA murders are the ones who have blood on their hands.

Just because he was the PM of England, and now converted to Catholicism, you what to degrade him because released people who murdered IRA freedom fighters, hardly fair, are you talking about the Gibraltar hit squad who gunned down the unarmed IRA activists in broad daylight...thought they weren't even tried or was it the Brazilian terrorist on the tube..sorry to many to remember........
