I think it is horrible to rush in to marriage because you just want to be married. It is worse to be 24 and divorced or have one of those starter marriages and get divorced after 5-7yrs. I would wait till you get a little older, get a career and get a life goal. Living for a marriage is never as fulfilling as living for a goal. People change and you can change and what you wanted 2 yrs ago will be different than what you want now. Don't put an age on marriage, put a standard... Don't get married unless you truly love the other person and work well with each other. Love is not enough, how you treat each other and communicate is. People will change and grow but if you find a man or woman who is equally willing to work on the relationship than you will stay together...no matter what age you get married at.

I got married at 22 and it wasn't that great...I then got divorced at 25 and that was much better. It all depends on the person. I think 22 is way too young to be married anymore, I think that kids are sheltered a lot more now than they used to be and aren't shoved off into the world which may have a lot to do with it. I actually hated being married, but to each their own!

It is not horrible at all. Do you know how many people are married to the wrong person at 22 or any other age and are not happy? Lots! Take your time and find someone that will make you happy. If you do that, it will take a while, but it is worth it. Enjoy yourself right where you are.

In my opinion 22 is too young to get married. I'm 20 and still not dating anyone because I'm in college and want to get my career going first so when I do get married, me and my husband will do fine financially. I'd say at about 25 is the perfect time to get married and there is a better chance of a lasting marriage if you wait.

Um.. 25 and definitely not married. Not quite ready and would NOt have been ready at 22.

Most people are in school still or trying to get themselves financially stable, and out having fun and dating. Why would it be horrible to not be married at 22? You miss out on an awesome part of youth by making that kind of committment so early.

No way. I'm 21, and single. I totally want to get school done before I even think about getting married. I think that the normal age to get married is about 25 or so.
