My mother is dying from cancer. She lives in a different town from where her final resting place is. Money is an issue because there isnt alot. I want to know how it can be done by a relative and the legal aspects of doing so . Where she lives is 2 and a half hours from where the cemetery is. She is older and her and my dad are scraping as it is. Can a family member drive her to the mortuary themselves and what do they have to do to do it legally and ethically right?

I had my boyfriend's ex-wife arrested January 07 for harassment, threatening with a knife and sharp objects, plus for verbal abuse in public, as her child was viewing this, against me. She was picked up by the police as I made my complaint. Now, her case was dismissed from court after 12 months, and 1 year of order of protection from her to stay away from me; then recently she made a remark through a third party that she was inquiring about sueing me for defamation, although she's had psych evaluations and Children Services come to her home for proof of child endangerment. They miraculously cleared her as not a threat to society, yet she continues to be a threat, indirectly-through a third party- to my life. Constant bad mouthing and cursing about me. Does she have a leg to stand on? Should I seek some kind of legal rights? I don't have the order of protection any longer, since the case closed this December. Please someone help me.

I had this thought the other day (just hypothetical): Let us suppose the US Supreme Court issued an order to the US President and that President refused to comply. If egregious enough, Congress could impeach and convict the President. Let us suppose, upon conviction, the President refused to leave Office. Let us, further, suppose the entire Executive branch staff (Secret Service, Justice Department, etc.) "fell in line" behind the President and moved to keep the President in Office. In short, in this scenario, the Courts and Legislature are attempting to enforce the Constitutional Law, but the Executive branch has "rebelled". What guarantee exists to make sure the President complies? Who could force the President to leave? What's more, how could that person/people do so?

My father tried to buy a car. He signed a contract saying he would buy and wrote a personal check for $9000 to hold the car. He wrote "hold" on the memo line because he was going to get a loan from the bank the next day. The bank did not give him the loan and he never drove the truck off the lot. He then told the car dealership he was going to cancel the check.

A few months later the dealership tried to cash the check and if course it didn't go through. Even though he said he cancelled the check, they put the car in his name. Again, he's never actually took possession of the truck. Now the dealership is suing him and the county has sent him a letter regarding him passing a bad check. Can he be faced with criminal charges? Can the owner take him to court for civil charges for the amount of the car he "owns" on paper, but has never actually took possession of?

I am an independent voter. I am not backing for any candidates at this time. In Iowa, Senator Obama , Quote "Truth is, he wasn’t very religious,” said Obama. “He met my mother. My mother was a Christian from Kansas, and they married, and then divorced. I was raised by my mother. So I’ve always been a Christian."

He clearly stated that he was raised by his mother and she was a Christian. If it’s true, why did his mother get married to another Muslim after she divorced Obama's father? He spent his childhood in Indonesia with his mother & step father. I want independent voters (Please no Obama, Hillary, Edwards, or Republican voters) to respond please!

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A couple was charged Friday with trying to sell their 2-month-old baby for $30 in a store parking lot, authorities said.

Robert G. Ellingson, 23, approached two people in the PetSmart parking lot and offered them a beer. When they refused, he offered to sell his child, Escambia County Sheriff's officials said.

"At first they thought it was a joke," sheriff's spokesman Glenn Austin told the Pensacola News Journal. "But then the mother yelled to the group that they were trying to sell the baby. And one of them called us."

Ellingson and Maghen Duvala, 25, the baby's mother, were each charged with four counts of child neglect. They were being held in Escambia County jail — he for $27,000 and she for $15,000. It was not immediately known if they had legal representation. They were expected to make a first appearance Saturday.

It has been said ,that IF an intruder is in your house or is threating you and your family deadly harm, you have the right to shoot to DEFEND yourself.
So what was the big difference between what Mr. Horn did in Texas or what Mr. White did in N.Y.? Was it just a racial thing ? Are bits of your neighbors property worth more than your own family members lives? Both cases happened outside the house.

I raise UKC dogs and sell them. Im 15 years old and all of the dogs are in my name. Every time one of my dogs has puppies they are registered in my name because I am the owner of the mamma and daddy dog. My Father and I are not getting along and he up and says the dogs are his. So a couple of days later I ask him how he is going to register the pups and he told me he already did. I told him that he had to have my signature to do that, and he told me that he signed my name. And he also said that he signed my name to register the mamma dog in his name. Is it just me or is somthing wrong about that?

What did you think that they would become when they grew up? You wonder why there are so many people on welfare and in gangs and doing drugs, dealing drugs and steeling what working people have worked for, driving insurances cost up. And even once you catch them now doing wrong, you put them in a jain and change nothing, they still have no schooling when they get out, what do you think they are going to do when they get out? Your law only temps children to give up as a option in life, even ones that do well in school !!!!!!!! Britny Spears should be in school and not twisting her *** on TV like a dumb ***.

I just want somebody to show me 1 single state or federal law that requires me to have an ID at all.

I am an American, I am free, I am secure in my person and in my papers.

Thanks.

I co-signed for a cell phone a couple years ago for a former roommate of mine. He moved out, but had been paying the cell bills regularly so I didn't take the phone away. We parted on good terms- our lease was up, and I was expecting a baby so it just worked out for us to each move into our own separate apartments. He wound up with another roommate. This second roommate (who I never knew and had no agreement with regarding the phone) used my former roommate's phone and ran up a HUGE bill that I wasn't aware of until about six months ago when I tried to take out a loan for a car and was denied because of a collections account on my credit rating. Do I sue my former roommate? Or my former roommate's former roommate for the cell bill? I know this is confusing..

My former roommate is saying he didn't know the other guy was using the phone until the bill came in and that he wasn't able to afford the bill the other guy ran up. He and I fell out of touch and he never let me know (cont'd)

The only purpose of handguns is to kill people. I think private ownership of handguns should be banned in the U.S. and anyone found with a handgun should be severely punished. Only police officers should be allowed to carry handguns.
