Let me give you a lesson in LIFE 101.
Parents can never be held accountable for the choices of our children. We helped bring them here. We gave them an education. We gave them love and affection. We taught them right from wrong. We gave them all the tools they needed to make a LIFE for themselves.
Children choose WHO they are, WHAT they are and their sins are not their parent's fault.
Are you Lilly White? I'm sure you have some traits that your parents are not very proud to admit. We all do. So don't blame Vice President Dick Cheney for his daughter's choices.
He has a conviction about Gay Marriages probably based on his childhood learning from the Bible. And that's O.K. That is quite normal and acceptable. I'm sure he also provided that learning to his daughter. His daughter just chose to go a different way.
When YOU point the finger at anyone, look closely and see HOW MANY fingers are left pointing back at YOU, yes YOU.

We are all aware that Cheney's daughter is gay.
But what do you mean by the last sentence. Cheney's mother wanted tro quit - what did she want to quit? And what bill was Cheney going to sign. According to my copy of the constitution, the Vice President doesn't sign any bills.

It would be a better question if you asked who doesnt know that Dick Cheney's daughter is gay? The man should be ashamed of himself for wanting to hide the fact. It's his flesh and blood. I wouldnt wish what gays have to go through in this country on anyone. They are, after all, people, just like everyone else. I hadnt liked Cheney before and now it's a for sure.

Yes and the problem is? Even though she and Cheney have admitted to her sexual preference, he still has a right to his opinions about gay marriages. You can love someone and still disagree with their personal life.

Yes I was and it makes no difference to me one way or the other as I detest her father and can't wait to get all the GWB monsters out of the White House. The sexual orientation of his daughter means nothing in the scheme of things. Least important of all.

Yes, I'm aware of that. Republicans want to ban marriage for two reasons: 1)They want to get their religious evangelicals all fired up about something and 2) they're scared of homosexuality. I forgot 3) They're idiots, but I think that's a given.

does it really matter? we are all put here for a reason and only God knows that reason! not that I am condoning being Gay or not ( a good friend of mine left our Church because of this very same issue) we are all sinners and we all need to be saved, through our Lord Jesus Christ we can do this, but only if we accept him!

Pink was referring to Bush, but with the same sentiment......though that line is one of the only that I don't like in that song......"what kind of father would hate his own daughter for being gay". I don't like Bush or his policies, but even I am not stupid enough to believe that Bush would hate his daughter for being gay....perhaps it might help him if one of them were, b/c he might better see that side of the issue and not believe it is a choice, but he wouldn't hate his kids.
