I raise UKC dogs and sell them. Im 15 years old and all of the dogs are in my name. Every time one of my dogs has puppies they are registered in my name because I am the owner of the mamma and daddy dog. My Father and I are not getting along and he up and says the dogs are his. So a couple of days later I ask him how he is going to register the pups and he told me he already did. I told him that he had to have my signature to do that, and he told me that he signed my name. And he also said that he signed my name to register the mamma dog in his name. Is it just me or is somthing wrong about that?

When you left home with your mother and gave the animals to your dad, it was over. You told him to give them away. He chose to keep them, bred one of them, now has pups to sell. You should not judge him for he has not harmed you in any way!
Have faith and trust that some good may come from this.

I'm not clear about UK law.

over here in America, someone who is only 15 is a minor and unless a competent court has ruled otherwise, the parent with custody [or both of them if they're still together], have full power over all of the child's assets and income.

that would mean that over here, the answer is yes he can.

It's probably illegal to forge your name, but then....you're under 18 so your parents essentially have control. Even so, that's cold. I couldn't do that to my kid unless he/she wasn't taking proper care of the animals and I felt I NEEDED to step in for their safety.

No. Not if the child is under 18, or they have legal custody of the child.

You own nothing. Your signitures aren't even valid if you are under 18. Your parents can take all of your paychecks if they please and other things like that. It sucks, I know.

forging a signature is always illegal...however, as a parent he has power of attorney over you and has guardianship over all of your possessions.
