The clerk said that they don't prosecute unless it is $25. Isn't there something that they could do. I mean if he eats a donut every day for free it will eventually mean a substantial loss for the company. What if we all did that?

So I have been working under contract with a firm that just terminated me on the basis of my department is being eliminated from the company. My contract isn't up for another year!

Does the fact that my department will no longer exist mean the company has no obligation to honor the length specified in our contract?

Any help would be awesome! thanks!

I've been hearing alot about a "Mandatory evacuation". So i decided to look up the info on it. and unsurprisingly i couldn't find anything in the law books about Mandatory evacuations, its rules or penalties for failure to comply. Can someone point me to the right direction? where in the Law books of California, give law enforcement officers to enforce Mandatory evacuations?

It seems that George Bush had a personal problem with Saddam Hussein and that is why we are in the mess that we are in. He can try to explain it away otherwise, but I don't think that we are that naive, or are we?

I'm creating a poster. It's a project. I'm going to have a black man shake a white mans hand. What should the text be? The text needs to be related or go along with MLK's dream. You know, how he wanted black and white people to get a long. Thanks! I need some ideas!

Hi I am a second year college student at UCSB and I live with three other people. Two of which are now growing marijuana plants in the house not too mention smoking it constantly all day. We are in a legally binding contract for about another 9 months and they did not start smoking until march and contracts here are signed in january. Otherwise I would have seen this problem coming. I am tired of the house constantly smelling and afraid of getting in trouble if I do not report it. I have also gotten a lot sicker since I moved in here about 3 1/2 months ago. I looked up prison terms of up to 5 years if you are caught growing and selling. What I would like to know is, a) should I contact management and b)if they get caught by the police and I live there, could I get in trouble ?

P.S. Their housing contracts would be terminated since smoking in the house in the first place is a hundreds of dollar fine by our company to begin with.

And I don't want no dumbass remarks from stoners

I like photography and guitar - Recently I have taken a picture of myself holding a can of Coca-Cola. I have also used my guitar to compose a song, titled "Cola", sang with it, and posted it on YouTube. The image of the screen is the picture mentioned above.

My question is: "Is there a chance that Coca-Cola will sue me for trademark infringement?"

P.S. The picture and video are solely for personal hobby. I am not selling neither the picture nor the video or making any profit out of them. Also the song did not say anything bad about Coca-Cola.

I wrote in my book entitled Understanding Water Rights and Conflicts, Second Edition:
“Even in wet regions, where water is seemingly not an issue, disputes arise. Georgia, Alabama and Florida are disputing the flows in the Apalachicola River. One issue relates to the amount of water needed to remain in the river to preserve the Apalachicola Bay oyster beds. Growth in Georgia and Alabama has caused more and more water to be removed from the river (diverted) for municipal and agricultural use, leaving less for the ecosystem downstream. This impacts both the ecology of the bay and the livelihood of the fishing industry using the bay.”
Considering the current crisis in this region, do you feel that water issues are more in the public eye than they have been in the last few years. If so, does the public understand the complexity of these issues more or less as a result of the news coverage?

Here's the senario:
2 way stop (north / south) & straight through traffic heading east & west. Eastbound is 1 lane and Westbound is 1 lane. They have been seperated by a solid white line.
The defendant is stopped at a stop sign (facing north and preparing to make a left hand turn). He checks for oncoming traffic & see's a Big Truck slowing down (with his blinker on) to make a right turn. The defendant proceeds to make a left-hand turn (because the Truck is beginning to make it's right turn) when suddenly a car that was following the Big Truck comes from out behind the Truck (Into a Left Hand Turning Lane) and strikes the defendants car (t-bone). That car was not making a left hand turn, and therefore continued to accelerate in order to go straight through, even though they were in a left turning lane.
In Short: She is in a left turn lane but has no intention of turning left, she goes straight & hits defendant. She sues for injury. What kind of outcome can you predict? Can She Win?

I was wondering how serious this charge is because in a series of unfortunate events, i got charged and I'm not willing to drive 5 hours to go back and fight it. Anyway, the court date is passed, i've paid up, and everything is in the right now. I was wondering if this will have any lasting effects?

Is this something I have to put on applications?
How long will it stay on my record?
Any general info would be great!

If someone commits a crime with a gun (whether legally or illegally owned) then the government should throw them in jail for 20 years. Would that be an effective deterrent and if not a deterrent than an effective mechanism for keeping criminals off of the streets.

I heard from a friend that this phrase "In God We Trust" is wanted to be removed from the U.S. currency by people.

Here are some questions I hope you guys can answer for me

1. Is what my friend said to me true?

2. Am I right to say that it is up to the citizens in America to choose whether this motto be removed or not? If not, whose is it?

3. What do you guys think about it. (if the issue is truly taking place.)

My ex boyfriend and his family are crazy and are saying they will get a restraining order on me. He has been texting me, and picking fights with me, and unfortunately I have bickered back. He's been trying to get with me, and in the past I have tried to tell this new girlfriend of his about it and apparantly she got my number blocked (even though I've only called her like 3 times total). Today they are especially mad at me because I got him in some trouble with his wrestling coach because I told on him for smoking pot at school!!!
So basically, what I want to know is: If they get a restraining order put on me on grounds of "harrassment", does this mean that if we happened to be at the same place, I would have to leave? Or would HE have to leave? And is it possible that his crazy mother could make it to where I have to change schools???
Don't worry, I have already decided that even if there's no order put into action, I will have NO contact with him whatsoever no matter WHAT.
