I have a trial in family court coming up and want to bring a video camera. The court is saying no, but I see on the internet that Florida Supreme Court does not limit the use of cameras in court. So whats the deal, are my rights being violated?

Son goes to school till 2:30 and it was 2-5 on court order, we changed it to 3-5. Was seeing kids at daycare, there no longer there so he visits at mc donalds now

Signed by both the mom and dad and we have been doing this for a year.

We did not notify the court i know this is not ENFORCEABLE but will it do me any good in court since he has been doing this for a year already? Even though he only comes once or twice a month if the kids are lucky..

I just want to know how it will hold up in court since he has been doing it, and im not denying any visits for him and his kids.

out for her arrest for bad checks and she has to drop the baby off at her father's house this Wednesday and he knows she has these warrants, can the father keep the baby until she gets the mess cleared up? What if he gives the child back and the mother gets arrested with the child in the car? Isn't it in the best interest of the child to not be around that? By the way, this father has been trying to get custody from the mother for a few months, (she works late hours and the child stays at a babysitter's overnight as well as she keeps a filthy home, has no health insurance on the child that she is required to have, is not providing adequate supervision, etc) and the father has shared parental responsibility, pays child support (is current and owes no back child support), carries medical insurance, has standard visitation and always asks for more time with her. He just wants to see that his daughter is not in a bad environment and well taken care of.

A number of employees are facing redundancy and with the Union the employers have devised a points system to keep a certain number of people. If you do not receive a certain number of points you are offered various options that do not include full time employment. I am NOT a member of the Union. Is there anything I can do?

My ex husband and I have a court order saying for my ex to have supervised visits (Teachers watching him but doesn't say that in court order just says "Supervised" he can visit from 2-5 at the daycare (where i WAS working) with a call from him 24 hours before he wanted to visit. We did that for about 8 months, then my oldest started Kinder, and he wasn't gettting out of school till 2:30. I had to leave work at 2, *VERY HARD TIME GETTING OUT* and then I had to come back and both my kid's were there in daycare till 5:30. My boss gave me a really hard time so she said it would be better if I change my hours till 2:00. So I was like um okay. So, I sent him a proposal to visit at mc donalds from 3-5 due to my scheudle change and oldest kid being in school, and for me to supervise him or someone I can find that might want to. He SIGNED IT AND I SIGNED IT, both have copies. He has done so for a year, no problems. He only comes 1-2 times a month though. Wasn't this a good proposal?

Last night, I asked a question regarding your opinions about consumer rights to refuse search by the store. Shoplifting costs this nation $13 billion annually. I recognize the right for shopkeepers to limit shoplifting losses and see several methods to reducing shoplifting. One is to remove the incentive of shoplifting; however, as long as we live in a free nation with people who want what others have, there will always be an inventive to steal. Another possibility is removing the ability to shoplift. This could (unreasonably, but for an example) be accomplished by creating a physical barrier between the shopper and the merchandise. The third, and my favored punishment, is harsher penalties for shoplifters. In any case, even for 10 cent candy bars, jail time should be a distinct possibility. I can even go as far as making repeat offenses felonies (6 month prison terms per offense, perhaps). I’m tired of a few bad apples ruining my shopping experience by increasing prices.

Last night someone threw something about the size of a bowling ball at my husband's windshield. We called the police, a report was made and our insurance company is going to send someone out to replace the windshield. I had to drive my husband in to work today and I asked my daughter if the kid across the street bowls.(He's in middle school) She didn't know, but said that his elderly neighbor has bowling balls in her back yard. This of course raised a flag with me because we had a previous incident where rocks were thrown at our house and they came from the same kid's yard. I suspect things are happening because of my son being openly gay and he also has mental health problems, though he did move out about a month ago. I contacted the head of our board and am waiting for a reply from him, but I was just wondering what you would do in a situation like this. Would you casually approach the parents? I don't want to cause any problems, but I do want this to stop.

I have to see my ex husband for 2 hours - 4 hours a month at the most as of right now since he doesn't call to visit any other times. He has supervised visits and i supervise him because the court order we had isn't working so we did a mutual agreement at mc donalds and i supervise him and bring a friend of mine.....I get so sick when i have to see him though but i do it for the kids. He has NO problem with our agreement he signed it i signed it weve been doing this for a year now...

The only thing is we didnt notify the court but I heard that you dont have to if you agreed to something. That you only go to court when you DONT AGREE on things.

Yesterday my boss told me he needs me to start working "part time" hours. I use the term sparingly, because he's basically asking me to work an hour less a day -- which adds up to five hours a week, and 500 dollars off my monthly pay. That's a hell of a lot of money for me.

Can he do this without my permission? I didn't sign a contract when I started and he has messed with my overtime pay before this. I am looking for a new job yet I am afraid that if I stand up to him about wanting my regular hours he will just lay me off and I will be in an even worse position.

Help!!! I need advice, I've NEVER gone through something like this before.

After a violent relationship of 7 years with 3 hospital visits, I upped and left everything behind. I had no home, he lost me my job and threatened my family. After a 3 year court battle I finally got awarded half the equity of the flat. He insisted I take a further cut from his half to get my life on track and sorry for all his grief. After all this was my money that had paid for the flat from a former home of mine. He had been busy in and out of prison. He has just served me with a court hearing to regain half the money back, can he do this to me?
After 4 years I have resettled and placed all that I had into a new home, can he take this home from me also? Will I have to run again?
As the equity split was witnessed and signed through a solicitor can he over ride the legal agreement?

As I read the illogical and narrowminded reasons why Americans do not want Health Care for all its citizens, I cant help but believe that Americans just do not want to think someone else has got it right. If paying 500 dollars for a 30 min visit to a doctor to tell you that you are sick and then providing a person with a 50 dollar perscription for some drugs that potentiallly can make a person sicker than they already are because of the side effects.. Then Stupid is As Stupid Does" Run! Forest Run! Universal health care is a good Idea!

It doesn't matter how solid the other answers are, or even if other answers actually cite laws and cases. I choose the first poorly spelled and grammatically suspect answer which says I'M IN THE RIGHT. Yes, I "definatly" have a case!

Is that a good idea? After all, simply because someone's writing is atrocious doesn't mean that they're not able to understand complex laws and archaic legal language, right?

We bought the car As Is from one of those questionable small lots for people with bad credit (Our stupidity) When we called after the second incident and requested our down payment back and out of the deal, our salesperson said that would not be a problem. We went in two days later and they said they had fired him and he was a "liar" we couldn't get our money back, out of the deal, anything. Since he WAS an employee at the time he sold the vehicle would his statement be binding if we subpoenaed for a small claims court hearing? Please helpful answers only. I *know* we should have had a mechanic check the car prior to sale. Thanks!

and yes we pay for their stupidity......year after year houses burn, or get washed away in mudslides.....because of fires.......and the insurance companies simply pass on the expense to other members...........

solution---you choose to live in a region that experiences natural disasters every year, you pay for the rebuilding of any damaged property.

Here's the background first:
We are working with a home study agency for adoption and recently needed an updated home study in order for our adoption to move forward. In the state of California, two post placement visits are required AFTER you adopt a child.

We haven't gotten that far yet but this agency is now saying that they will not release our recently updated home study (which we paid $350 for and is holding up our adoption) until we pay them another $700 for post placement. They say we knew about this because they sent us a contract. But we never signed the contract - honestly we overlooked it. So they took our money and did the home study without a signed contract from us for the FUTURE post placement. They say we are bound by the contract because we allegedly knew about it.

So are we bound by a contract that we overlooked and never signed?

Does anyone know of a Law Code we can refer to?

Thanks so much in advance for your help!!!!

Iam a resident in Pennslyvannia and i have a licence to carry a gun, which i do. I know that the law in PA limits places that people can carry like gov. buildings, schools, state parks etc.. But my question is what are the regulations exactly and is there ever really a situation that someone could shoot somebody justifiably in the eyes of the law. LIke could you shoot someone in self defence, and maybe kill them and not go to jail for murder charges. What if there are no witnesses to say that a person was truly defending him or herself. Also what if you get in a situation and you pull your weopon but dont discharge it? Oh and is alcohol a factor for the carrier? -it would be great if a cop or lawyer from PA could answer! thanks
