i worked for a company that wanted me to start a new awning manufacturing dept, they had no idea how. i was a pro awning fabricator, installer, i started the department and its doing great, but once i tought them all i new they fired me and gave my positon to a illegal to save money.

As for your work, you were paid to produce and, as you have been told, it is owned by the company that paid you as 'work product'.

As for the illegal, if you have proof that this person is not in the country legally call the INS. Otherwise, you have no course of action.
