I'm applying to law schools this fall, and I wanted to slightly fudge my job position to make it sound more managerial and as if I have more responsibility. I wouldnt be lying, per se, because it would still be with the same company and the job title I plan on using is in the same ballpark as the real one, though it just isn't the official title.

should there be a line drawn where there are conjoined twins born that shouldn't be separated. Does it go against what people believe in? Should people really take the chance when separating them means certain death for at least one of them?

I went to a camera shop to buy a mount piece for my tripod. (The peice was missing). The employee put one on my tripod and said it fit so I bought it. I took it home and put my camcorder on tripod with the mount peice. The camcorder fell and broke (costing me about $1000 to repair). The mount peice simply popped off the tripod with my camcorder still attached. I contacted the company that sold me the mount peice and explained that their employee sold me a peice that didn't fit right which caused the camcorder to fall. Their customer service agent said $1000 seemed a bit high for a repair and offered me only $300 to cover all my costs. (I have all my receipts). I explained that even the manager at their store said employees are not suppose to try to match mount peices to tripods.

Any advise about this subject would be appreciated. I have considered filing at small claims court but don't know if I would win or not?

Even the Ny times public editor admits this was a train wreck from the start...and now were supposed to believe they "didnt know". Cmon, this is even wilder than any Pelosi spin in some time. And now its supposed to be poltically correct to send the full bill after the fact? Why not just apologize for the hack job done on a perfectly good and honest mans character and tell the pelosi/reid regime to sit down and shut up.

I live in Michigan if that matters, and I received a summons today that says I am being sued for an outstanding medical bill. Is there any way to pay this and not have to go to court, or now since it has gone to an attorney is it mandatory to go to court. And also, would I have to pay attorney fees on top of the medical bill amount?

It says also that I have to file an answer with the court within 21 days of receiving the summons. What does that mean? I will check all this in the morning, but Im a little worried about it tonight. Thanks in advance.

...don't you also have to support first cousin marriage?

Research has shown that first cousins only raise the risk of birth defects by 1.7-2.8%. That percentage is far below the risk of people who carry genetic disorders passing it on to their children (upwards to 50% in some cases), and there are no laws governing those individual's marriage or reproduction. The reason we don't allow first cousin marriage is purely based on opinion/religious morals.

So since there's no scientific reason behind the ban, shouldn't you ethically have to be in support of first cousin marriage if you're for gay marriage?

Why aren't you, if you support gay marriage?

I know someone who was sentenced to jail for a year for being a level 3 sex offender, He says he didnt do it, i want to believe this is not true but i know it is a strong possibility it really is true. If so that disgust me and I have to protect my family members of young age. I truely want to know if being sentenced for a year is because he did it or because they think he did it. Someone please let me know what you think.

Like I said, I got kicked out of my dad's house in March, so that makes it about 7 months. I dropped out of school (yeah I know, stupid), and since the new school year has started, I haven't gone because I'm not enrolled. I turn 17 next month, but even so, I can't wait until I'm 18 to get on with my life. So I need to find some change of custody papers to give to my dad to sign &for the family that I'm staying with to sign, since they agreed to take custody of me. So please show me where to get some?!

Also, what, in your opinion, would be the best way to go about handling this situation?

I just played a recording on my call wave from an outside source on behalf of my satellite TV supplier reminding me that I am on the DO NOT CALL List and to please remove that particualr solicitor from the list so they may contact me with exciting offers,,,,,,,,,,,NOW! Did we not list ourselves on the national do not call list so we wouldnt be bothered with these types of calls?DUH? Is this the solicitors new way to get around the Do not call list? Has anybody else recieved a similar call? I am ready to cancel my satellite provider and go with their competition, unless they are stooping to these tactics too.

I sued my landlords because they took 110 our of my deposit to pay for a new door and storm door, both of which I did not damage, and 20 for excessive garbage upon moving out, you move out, you have trash, its common knowledge

they're countersuing me for
1. Assumptions that I was growing pot on their property (which will impact my credibility)
2. leaving stains on the carpet ( if they're that bad then why didn't they take them out of my deposit)
3. Leaving a mean message on their phone
4. Leaving a mess outside on occasion ( we barbecue, do wood projects and the like and sometimes leave stuff outside, but they've never had to move our stuff)
5. having someone else live with me (2 week guest)
6.having a cat ( we got caught with a cat twice, but everyone else in the building has one, so why cant we, bullshit!)
7. having a fire in the backyard after asking and told that we couldn't. (we actually burned a habotchi fueled by wood for the coals)

can they sue us for this? especially for $25

Back in freshman, soph, and junior year I havent doing good at all. I havent been able to do the homework (i been in accelerated and honors classes). My parents were worried and they have asked the counsler to have me tested for a learning disability. He at first was very against it, he told me that it would be an extremely long time and that it costs a lot of money and that they might not even take a look. He said that the agency would have to be informed but he wouldnt give the information, later when asked he said that if I try to get tested and if i am found with learning disabilities that I would get suspended and/or expelled (though he said that in private). Now my GPA is a low 1.2

Now I could have tried harder but considering I wasnt helped at all and that i was denied to be tested for a learning disabiity would I have a case?

I have to give a deposition this week regarding a car accident last november. A person ran a stopsign and T-boned my car. I am really nervous about it. What is it like, and what is the appropriate way to dress for something like that? What happens in a deposition?

THis lady owes me and my boyfriend 320 dollars for some car we sold her about 3 weeks ago. She signed a contract with us saying that she will pay us the rest. We were selling the car for 2,750 dollars and she told us that she only had 2,400 and well my boyfriend decided that was fine...then in seconds later she told us that she only had 2,080 that she will pay us the rest in a week in a half. We have been calling her but she doesnt answer. I just dont think is fair that we were nice in giving her the car 350 dollars less and then not paying us. She had giving us 2 check that were on her name but we cant neither change them or deposit them. IF SOMEONE KNOWS AN ANSWER TO OUR PROBLEM PLEASE LET US KNOW..THANK YOU
