Even the Ny times public editor admits this was a train wreck from the start...and now were supposed to believe they "didnt know". Cmon, this is even wilder than any Pelosi spin in some time. And now its supposed to be poltically correct to send the full bill after the fact? Why not just apologize for the hack job done on a perfectly good and honest mans character and tell the pelosi/reid regime to sit down and shut up.

jerry, how specifically is it a good thing to be dishonest and attempt to slam a perfectly honest mans reputation whos only crime is reporting facts. is it your intention to claim that smearing a man is ok as long as its for your cause. would you feel the same if it was done to you??? thanks for giving me another reason to vote conservative jerry...you really scare me.

Apologizing would suggest they not only knew they were wrong, but would be a symptom of having character and integrity.

I think Elvis being found alive and running for president on the Rockabilly Party Ticket is far more likely.
