No. If any prospective juror has such a belief then they have the duty to make this known to council for both sides during voir dire proceedings prior to being selected as a juror. The notion of a 100% fair trial is a myth. The objective of the system is to approach it as closely as possible but, as we are imperfect beings, we know that we can never achieve it. The term "Voir Dire" refers to an oath to tell the truth and is the process by which attorneys select, or perhaps more appropriately reject, certain jurors to hear a case.

I don't know what a "chav." is -- but if I served on a jury, I would follow the rules of the jury -- which means forming my opinions based solely on the admitted evidence, and applying them to the law as instructed by the judge.

If I was on a jury, I would be looking at the facts, not at the way a person is dressed or the way they spoke.

Being a juror is an important role, personal feelings should never be allowed to interfere with your decision. A decision should only be made on the facts.

No. I'd be quite proud that I could see beyond someone's dress sense and weigh up the verdict on the evidence alone.

I'd say so, but then why would someone turn up to a respectfull court in burberry. why not suck there stumps and turn up in shirt and trousers. i would, live to see another day.
