I have to give a deposition this week regarding a car accident last november. A person ran a stopsign and T-boned my car. I am really nervous about it. What is it like, and what is the appropriate way to dress for something like that? What happens in a deposition?

The other person's lawyer is going to try to make it look like the accident was partially your fault, don't let them trip you up. Answer the questions asked truthfully and completely, however only answer the questions asked. Don't over elaborate. If they need more information, they will ask.

It is not necessary to wear a suit or anything, however you should dress nicely. Business casual is probably a good guideline to follow.

Always tell the truth.
Never guess (if your guess is incorrect it damages your credibility).
Dress nicely, and sit up straight (if your deposition is being taped
Finally, take about one (or two seconds) before you answer. This will enable you to collect your thoughts and will enble your attorney to object to the question if appropriate.

Honest as I can be!! Dress causual and tell you self over and over " I am relaxed and I will only tell the truth". Might not hurt to contact your representative. That would be the lawyer that reresents you case.
