I have worked in law inforcement and as a correction officer. I've seen many laws being broken by the officers. When I complained I was the one who got set up and repermanded. As a civilian I've seen many traffic laws broken by patromen. To name a few like speeding , double parking, leaving their patrol car unattened with engine running, use their police car as their own private car, park blocking a Fire Hydrant,
and ect. I don't believe this is right but everyone acts like it's okay. I've even heard they have a special right to do this.

A friend has an 11 year old daughter recently diagnosed with Epilepsy and the child cannot be left alone. The Mom has asked her employer to allow her to work hours to ensure that she can pick up her daughter from school for the safety and well-being of the child. The Mom wants to work straight through the day - 8 hours and leave in time to pick up her daughter (which amounts to 30 minutes ) and the employer has refused to accommodate her. She has written directions from the physician on the child's needs. Is this legal?

The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the right to bear arms refers to the 2nd Amendments clause "a well organized militia", to wit, the National Guard. In other words , if you want a gun you will be provided with all sorts, howitzers, mortars etc. Of course you might also be provided with the opportunity to really use them, ie Iraq.

If they aren't the ex-cons will just give up on trying to earn a decent living and decide to go back to their old ways. Why should people be punished for their whole lives for a crime committed years ago that they have completed the sentence required?

Today's society often boasts of its open-mindedness, with an "anything goes" kinda attitude when in actual fact the vast majority are quick to stereotype. This sort of prejudice and stigma will only make them feel more inferior.

I am thinking of law school and was wondering if anyone had opinions on which was the best field of law...
For money?
For fun daily work?
For time with family?
For most overall fullfillment?
For travel?

i'm very worried about my 15 y/o sister being with her boyfriend boyfriend, he has been an alcoholic since he was 14( he's 17), he constantly tells her that she would be nothing without him and that no guy would ever want her, he also forces her to pay for everything he thinks we're "rich', he is also a racist and wants her to join the kkk with him, she admitted to me that he pressured her into having sex numerous times, but she begged me not to tell our parents yet because she's "ashamed" and can't tell them yet, i know i need to stop this freak from hurting my sister but we have a very strong bond and i don't wanna betray her trust

It seems all parties involved are indicating a willingness to to craft a sentence that is wildly disproportonate to what is dictated by the federal sentencing guidelines. No doubt their actions are legal, but is this moral. 8 to 12 does not even approach the 5-6 years as prescribed by the guidelines. It appears that Vick's legal team are creatively craftng a get-out-of-jail free card. Can anbody who is familiar with the federal court system please explain to me how, given these circumstances, such a a result could come to be. Could a non-celerity craft the same scenario?

When will Pentagon ever learn get their numbers straight? If they can't keep count of the dollars spent, how could they be realistic with the dead body counts - especially when bodies were splintered into bits?

Are the rogues of C&D Distributors in Lexington, South Carolina Republicans??? Do the money they rob taken into account for the great economy we're SUPPOSED to be seeing? :-)

Is there any chance that Roe v. Wade could ever be overturned? Wouldn't that be the same as taking away the freedom given to African Americans or women, seeing as it gives women freedom over their own bodies? I am NOT looking for an argument, nor am I trying to make any sort of a political statement. I am just curious if it is even possible to overturn such a judgment. Please be respectful of me and others when answering. Thanks!

Problem is that If I work hard to hard I can not earn more than 5000 per month. And the expences are three times over.

I have a friend who isn't a lawyer and has no actual law school training, but has a lot of experience in business dealings, like contracts and law of agency and such. Many others ask him for advice when they run into trouble and need to know what the law says regarding their business proceedings. He was saying that he is thinking of starting to charge for such advice. Since he isn't a lawyer, would that be legal? Would he need to include a disclaimer saying that he isn't an actual attorney?
