Craig McTavish was able to rebound after being convicted (even won a Stanley Cup) for drunk driving and vehicular homocide. Do you believe that Michael Vick's crime of cruelty to animals is more heinous, thus being more detrimental to his professional athletic career?

Worse? No, but it shouldn't be excused.

Craig did not win a Stanley "for" drunk driving like you said. Read your own statement. Vick is an ***, should not have anything to with whom they are, we would hate both of these people if they were just Craig and Michael, that worked for the electiric company. But because they are so called "sports" stars people let things go, but these day's I see more and more people saying so what they are Super stars, hold them to the same laws as the rest of us. And I agree with that.

Good question. Is human life less precious than a dogs llife?

I think that as a whole, society will base its unified "shock" reaction to

1. The degree of abnormal and unusual, therefore deviant and pathologic behavior.
2. The greed of the act, as in did he benefit financially? did he gain a commission? Did he put something in his pocket even
3. DId he have previous knowledge that he was committing a crime? Did he try to hide it from public knowledge. Did he try to bribe or pay his way to get out of it?
