I am dating a guy who just got divorced about three months ago. His wife got custody of his 4 year old son. He is now enrolled in Pre-K and he is in the state where the divorce took place. My boyfriend and his ex were seperated for over a year before their divorce was final. Now that it is final, she is marrying another guy and moving in with him at his parent's house. Would this be a change in circumstance that would make the judge give custody to my boyfriend? She said that she contacted her lawyer and he said that there is no law stating that you cannot remarry and definitely not one stating that you can't live with in-laws. She and my boyfriend lived with his mom for over a year, and her grandmother, and then even with his dad here in Georgia for a little while. So I don't know how it would look on my boyfriend if he did try to get custody. Opinions please.

OK this is a question I thought I would never be asking.
I am an extreme left wing liberal in just about all political issues, but I am God**mn sick and tired of all these senseless murders on our streets whiping out these beautiful young otherwise healthy able bodied kids of ours. The N R A with all it's money and political clout have pretty much eliminated even the slightest possability of any gun control laws, and the meager ones we do have apparently don't work at all, so let's try something else.I am asking all of you if you think we as a country should pass a simple law nationally that would give anyone found guilty of buying or selling illegal drugs an automatic LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT THE POSSABILITY OF PAROLE, regardless of age. I don't care if your 13 or 103. (No discretion by the courts) Everyone will know the automatic sentance and will know what they are getting into before they do it. It will cost the tax payers alot at first, but will save lives and tax ultimately.

We've been married for 10 months, and really own nothing together. I don't want the divorce but he does. He say he got married too young and we have nothing in common etc. I don't believe in divorce (unless certain reasons) and want us to work out naturally. There is no grounds for divorce, though I do have a suspicision of his fedelity. Anyway, I guess those details are unimportant to my question. What should I expect as far as legalities? Can I contest? How long does this take? What exactly is the process?

Ok, I dont know if I have asked this in here before but here it goes. I heard how a Muslim woman wanted a divorce and took her husband to court for beating her. The guy got away with it! Now how's come Christians cannot spank their children without having Children Services called? There IS a difference between disapline and abuse, dont get me wrong, but that is why God created the butt, to be spanked. The reason that man got away with that is its O.K in their religion. Well the Bible tells us to spank out children when they do wrong. So why is it ok for Muslims and not Christians?

I am pregnant, and I don't want my babies father to be on the birth certificate.

He is very abusive and i don't want him to have nothing to do with his baby.

He is threatening me with custody.

But if i dont put him on the birth certificate, will he still be able to file for custody if the birth certificate doesn't have any fathers name?

We spent a fortune in taxpayers money recovering the islands for the sake of a few thousand sheep farmers and, we know from the experience of Australia that transportation works. If it was OK to build several prisons on the beautiful Isle of Wight what would be so wrong about doing the same in the Falklands.
What a great way of dealing with the anti-social elements that we see every day on our screens.

It's been 30 days since my husband was served and he hasn't signed our divorce papers. I just entered for default today since he hasn't signed and I was told that they send it in for approval and also there's a possibility of it being rejected. On what grounds would they reject it? Any insight on this is appreciated.

Thank you

I purchased a GE refrigerator through Home Depot, which we have had numerous problems with (see my other questions). The Home Depot has a feature that says review a product if you own it. I have attempted several times to post a review on this refrigerator model (a negative review to be sure but not vulgar in anyway!!) to warn fellow consumers. But no matter how many times I try to submit my review (over several weeks) the Home Depot's website still says - "No reviews, be the first to review this product." This is certainly dishonest , but is it actually false advertising - in that they HAVE recieved reviews?

Here is my issue:

I live in an apartment community in Columbus, Ohio. There are two parking garages and additional private street parking. Residents are required to park in one of the three areas (garage 1, 2, or street) or they will be towed. There are also visitor spots in each garage (entire top floor) and on the street; all are marking with "Visitor" on them. I was towed for parking in a visitor spot in my garage because all resident parking was full. The apartment mgmt GM states that they cannot give assigned parking out of fear that there will not be enough spaces - they gave out more resident passes than open resident spaces - and residents are not allowed to use Visitors parking as overflow.

The community advertised "private garage parking with opener". The opener doesnt work, and I cannot see why it would be private if visitors can park there. Instead of being towed and paying $100 each time, can i cite them for breach of contract to get out of my lease legally?

Would watching a movie like Braveheart and feeling sympathetic towards a brave character like William Wallace be ok? Or does that mean you support terrorism :)

You never know in these crazy, circus times what is allowed and harmless and what is terrible and vengeful. Seems these days folks are clutching at straws to find something to pin on innocents :)
So should we only be on the safe side and just watch cartoons?

A group of ministers along with my self were dining in a local restaurant. One of the ministers requested extra lemons for water and the waitress got upset and never brought the lemons. We were upset at the service we were getting from this waitress and we wanted to request a new waitress. When we went to ask for a new waitress ,from the supervisor, we were asked to leave since we were not satisfied the service. We were the only African-American's in the entire restaurant.

Ok, i work at a call center for a bank. As such we have a monitoring agent installed on our avaya phones which records conversations. Recently our manager informed us that the QA department could hear the conversations we were having, even when we were in Mute, and not on a call. She also stated that she would take action against these individuals if these conversations continued. Is it legal for my employer to monitor me when not on a call, and to take action against me for a private conversation?

Marriage is a tradition in this country between a man and a women. If you change the marriage laws and open them up to more people, it because a slippery slope. The next thing you know, people are trying to marry their dogs. The marriage laws have never been changed in this country for this very reason. When you expand rights to a new groups of people, other groups move in and try for the same rights. Maybe we are preventing one group from the same rights as other groups, but that is okay as long as sacred tradition is saved.

God Bless
