if all you want are cartoons...
''Is it ok to watch or like such a movie?"
YOU are the master of what you watch/enjoy/feel/criticize...
since the movie is loosely based on history, shouldn't
some effort be made to understand it?

Personally the only terrorism I noticed was perpetrated by the policing body of the time. This happens to this date, and until it stops the policing bodies will be treated in the same fashion. There is a book for those who will read I only heard about today. It is titled "People get screwed all the time". I unfortunately forgot the authors name. But, it is written by an attorney who has recognized that the MAJOR problem in the world today is the system. This message holds truth in even the old days of the so-called upper echelons of society. They ALWAYS look the other way until we, the informed, make them lie in the bed they made. It is WAY BEYOND corruption. It amounts to a conspiracy to commit a fraud. They know the truly guilty p[arties are closer to their own doorstep.

The movie is very good. It is lacking in some historical accuracy, but that is Hollywood. If Wallace was a terrorist, so were the founding fathers. Terrorists generally go after soft targets that can not defend themselves. Like the twin towers. Wallace fought the British Army. Keep in mind, the Brits had their own wars against the Romans, the movie depicts the British as murderers and rapists, all armies have those, but there are also a lot more good soldiers than bad.

Braveheart is an excellent, although historically flawed, movie. Wallace was/is considered a freedom-fighter, not a terrorist, even though he used terror as a tactic.
I do get the point you are trying to make, though. Maybe we should never watch "1776" again, either, for fear of upsetting those who are afraid to "rock the boat".

I hated Braveheart. There was alot of violence and torture and real sick scenes in it. After all, Mel Gibson was in it, and he's a demented man. All his movies are terrible. Don't waste your time on Braveheart.
