I saw a small act of vandalism about an hour ago. I don't want problems. I could be next. The person who did it would have the right to know who reported him?

It was the guy across the street. Some kid smashed a flower pot on the sidewalk. I Don't know the kid's name, but I know where he lives, two doors down from me.
I'm on my well to tell my neighbor what I saw, let him decide what he wants to do.

Unless this kid's parents have a reputation for being unreasonable, I suggest you talk to the person whose property was vandalized, and the two of you go and report to the neighbor what has happened. Breaking a flowerpot isn't that big a deal, give the guy a chance to pay for his kid's immaturity.

If, however, you feel that this neighbor is an unreasonable/dangerous person, phone in an a tip. The police aren't going to arrest anyone for breaking a flowerpot, but they will go to the neighbor and try to scare him into paying for the damages.

You can call in a tip anonymously in most areas.
