My bf is fighting to see his 3 yr old son. he's been paying the mother child support the entire time and he had to go to supervised visits (for some reason, we still don't know why!) but my bf complied with what the court told him to do, he went to the 3 ordered visits and proved to the friend of the court that he is not an unfit parent. now, he talked to the caseworker this afternoon who told him that he could pick his son up on sunday for the first scheduled visit that has been ordered by the court. the court made the schedule because the mother wouldn't agree with my bf on any set times. after calling the caseworker to comfirm that we could go pick him up he called the mother who told him that he couldn't come pick him up on sunday, she said that he still had to wait another week although the caseworker just told him that it was this sunday. i know that if she refuses she will be in trouble with the court, but does he need anykind of written form that says he can get him?

We have a small home and want to know how most people distribute assets upon their deaths. Should 50% go to my child and the other 50% to his children to be split up three ways? Or should assets be split up equally 4 ways? Our children are all adults. We bought this home together. Thank you.

How can any sane person seriously oppose laissez-faire? Laissez-faire is the self-evident truth that nobody should be coerced by anybody else, even if the coercer's stated motive is that they are doing it for the victim's "own good." It is the self-evident truth that nobody should be restricted from doing any action desired unless that action happens to involve interfering with the rights of another person. How can anybody be against laissez-faire et laissez-passer?

What's up with this guy? He says he's a lawyer, he's a prosecutor, he's an expert on everything - and he always has massive votes for his answers, even when he's the only answerer, and even when his answer is wrong, or even when he says I agree with someone else.

And he's a "top contributor" - give me a break!

My friend and former roomate has been in the hospital for over a month because of a critical pregnancy and the doctors are hoping to avoid delivery for at least another month. As a result, no one has been at her house to receive her subpoena to small claims court (her boyfriend is at work or with her). I'm assuming the server got my address from public records as her most recent former address. He has been to my house looking for her several times. He threatened to leave it on the doorstep as a form of legal delivery until I told him she didn't live here. Once he said he knew she had mail coming to my address (not true, except for the very occassional piece of junk mail, she hasn't lived here for almost 5 years) and now I'm wondering if he's looking through my mail. He showed up at 7:30 am today and threatened to tell the judge I wasn't cooperating. Is there any legal penalty to myself or her for not taking this subpoena? She wouldn't be able to attend the court date now anyway.

The congress is corupt and paid off. The judges in the judical system are corupt and paid off. Yet doesn't it occur to people to think that something very bad is happening to this country. Where are our checks and balances? People are quick to quote, but can you really justify all the things government has done lately? Not to mention what they are planning to do to our country. What are your thoughts?

I've heard that Americans can actually kill people who unlawfully invade into their homes. They can literally get away with mudering the criminals and not go to prison. In England, if someone breaks into your house, you go to prison if you kill or even slightly injure them. Even if the person tries to rape your children and take all your valuables. There was a case where the intruder successfully sued the homeowner because he got a broken nose and got much money in damages. Does this seem like a right thing? Shouldn't the very same people that pay the taxes that support the government also be able to not live in fear of going to prison for fighting off criminals in their very own abodes?

We are giving so much money to overs for war, Selling arms to countries, etc yet we have homeless, starving people here who need our help. Why has the country turned a blind eye to our own people. People in the goverment claim god but are not honoring him. I'm looking for real answers. Is it wrong to help our neighbor? Instead of spending billions on war would it not be better to help our country?

Government imposes taxes on it's people gradually and without our notification. They take away the moeny that we earn without our say so. what they are doing is wrong and if an individual were to do what the government is doing it would be called a scam. But the government gets away with it why because they are the government. Do you thik this is wrong? What are your thoughts?

First of all I am not a Vick supporter, he deserves to goto jail for illegal betting. Now, society needs to get things straight. We place dogs and cats and other stupid animals to high in our society. Who cares if you kill dogs are cats, we kill cows, pigs, and deer all the time but if you kill a dog you get in big trouble. In some cases you could goto jail longer for killing a dumb dog then a child molester who touches children. Is that not messed up? PETA and all these animal rights groups need to grow up and worry about important things such as murder, child molesters and rapists.

Do you have a right to tell me I'm wrong or boycott my place of business or cause me other hardship because of your freedom? This is a Constitutional question NOT a religious question. I'm looking for answers for a Law point of view.

On 4 August, Sam posted two offers to two different people to sell a car. Both offers were delivered on the same day. Neil replied, accepting the offer on the same day. Julien, with whom he had been negotiating, also replied, accepting the offer on the same day. Both acceptances reached the defendant by the same post. Sam treated himself as bound only to Neil and completed the sale with him. Julien wishes to sue for damages for breach of contract. Can he? What would be the result?

I've had a gymnastics business for 2 years. A women I hired when I opened (an old friend) deceived me.
I found out that back in February she began giving private lessons at her church. She told my students/parents that she didn't want to split her fee wi/ my gym. She took students to her church without my knowledge. These lessons were given to students that came to my gym. She continued to work for me until June, when I found out.
She also took the student list home (contact info). I asked her to return it, she said she lost it.
Now she is teaching over 40 students that previously came to my gym. We have a business name, pay taxes, insurance, rent, etc. We charge students $45 per month. B/c she is doing this at her "small country church" they don't charge her any rent, etc. Obviously she has no overhead. She charges $12.50 per month (vs my $45). She makes all students pay in cash or checks written in her name. No business license or insurance.
When I started my business I hired old cheer friends, it never occured to me to have anyone sign a non-compete clause.
I am afraid that if I pursue anything legal it will hurt my business. We live in a small town. Everyone knows everyone. I am certain it would be turned around to where I look like the bad person for stopping her from pursuing her "dream".
What can I do?

I was recently made aware that Canada is a bit more lax in their enforcement of laws pertaining to recreational drugs. On this note, is it legal to purchase or use LSD in Canada? Please give me as much information as you can.
