I need orientation, I was terminated after 5 years of service to a company after reporting that I sustained a on the job injury. the company's insurance carrier rejected my injury claim after I presented substantial supporting medical documentation. the company was forcing me with changing my claim to personal so my health care provider could pick up the tab instead of the injury carrier. after refusing to change my claim the company fired me with the claim that I had violated the companys attendance policy because my injury was not excused by the insurance carrier. in my view, they tried to force me to commit insurance fraud by forcing me to change my claim form job injury to personal. I am in texas, did the company violate the anti-retaliation provision and refusal to commit a criminal act in this case? please some one with knowledge on this advise.

thanks.
A.S

The EU will soon ratify a law that will ban poultry battery farms by 2013 because cooping chickens in a tiny space is inhumane and can spread disease like H5N1 Avian flu. With that in mind, do you believe that Pokeballs are equally as inhumane and apt for the spread pokemon-borne disease?

It is wrong to cruely exploit dogs to fight until they are incapacitated or dead. Pokemon are equally as brutal in fighting if not more brutal, so is it allowed? Are pokemon battles allowed in the US?

Ok so my mother in law has been living with dementia. She was badly beaten up, and has no history of self harm or violence. She is delusional. The police took statements from the neighbors, (who have a nice long history of violence against women, animal cruelty, etc, etc.) They said they found her rolling around in the front yard crying. They took her to the hospital and no rape kit was done, and no investigation as to who did this to her. They put her in the psych ward. We have been waiting for social services to do something, as she thinks nothing is wrong with her, and in her delusions she thinks we are conspiring to kill her, and would never let us around her house and would call the police on us. I am glad she is finally under 24 hour care, but my instincts tell me that something really did happen to her, but she just keeps saying she woke up and her face was beaten and she was cut up. What can I do?

Can a subcontractor place a mechanics lien on a property, if he didn't send a 20-day preliminary notice first?
The general contractor has been paid - but issued "bounced" checks to the subcontractor.

I don't see why the single guys should be banned from this. We can take a bullet but we can't unwind in the company of a professional morale booster? We can't drink in the desert or have sex because of GO1. People act shocked when some soldier flips out. What do you expect when they are denied certain liberties we are sworn to uphold and protect?

Okay here's the issue. I interviewed for a job within my union. The requirements stated that the person should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, well versed in safety procedures, typing skills, and be willing to work any shift when necessary. I have all of these and interviewed, but the job was given to someone with none of the said requirements. The selection was suppose to be based on a point system. I had the highest. I was told by the person making the selection that I was the only person to be bypassed by the point system. They used the system every time before and after my interview. I also interviewed for another position and was bypassed with the highest points. I will note that I am Asian and a woman that the selections were given to white Caucasian women. Another source told me the persons the jobs were given to were because these women had bigger "Assets" T and A than I did.

Anyone out there knowledgeable on copyright law? I would be selling these stickers and badges, but would not edit the copyrighted material in any way. I know very little about copyright legislation, but even to me it sounds unlikely. Are there any loopholes or legitimate ways to produce these badges/stickers??

I recieved the speeding Ticket in the Woodlands, a suburb of Houston in Texas. 6/31 - is not a real date, and i was wondering if I could be like, well I was going to show up when it became 6/31 - but at the same time I don't want a warrant and I still have until 7/31 to send in a letter saying I'll do defensive driving to clera the ticket. I want to call a lawyer and ask, but the fee for doing so will probably be equivalent to the cost of the ticket. Thanks for your help.

This other company copied the product and got it into a catalog that is selling products made by me also. Should I inform my distributor that they are carrying a product that infringes on my patent and they should carry my product that I have the patent on? Shouldn’t the distributor take some responsibility as to what they are selling for other people?

i was on a country road at night in the pouring rain. i tried to stop at a stop sign and lost control of the vehichle. i hydroplaned? straight into a corn field. i feel i tried to stop in plenty of time and was not "driving too fast for conditions," but the officer gave me a ticket for "disobeying traffic control device." the ticket is only $75, but it makes me mad. i don't feel it was my fault. do you think i should go to the court date? do you think i have a chance? what would be considered reasonable or unreasonable speed? do you think it's my fault?

It's pretty obvious that the GOP fired the judges because they weren't far right or Fascist enough for this current adminstration. These "terrible" judges were going to do "terrible" things like following the law and allowing imprisoned terrorist SUSPECTS a day in court.

While women should never be raped, and a person who rapes a woman is guilty of it, is the woman completelly innocent if she hangs out with the type of person that is likely to commit such a crime?
OK, so the guy is guilty of raping her, but we know for a fact that if she would have used her brains and wouldn't have ignored all the red flags about the guy, the likelyhood of that rape occuring would have been pretty close to 0%.
