This person is a danger to himself and others. He starts fights, get's taken by the Sherriff's Dept. to the mental hospital, but MHMR will not take him because he tells them he's used drugs. He's a prior mental patient, off his meds. He's been locked up before so he knows what to say so he doesn't have to stay. He's been taken to jail also, but they let him out. He comes into public AA meetings and disrupts it or starts a fight. The men put him out or call the police and he just comes right back in.This has been going on for several months now. The women are afraid of him and he's so strong when he's crazy I think the men are too. We need someone to tell us what we can do legally.

Clay, a resident of Texas, purchased a nearly new Cadillac from a seller from New York for the unusually low price of $4,000. The seller explained that he was in town to take delivery of another automobile that he had just inherited from his late father. The seller produced a certificate of title. After Clay had possession of the Cadillac for several months, he sold it to James for $3,800. After James had driven the car for two months, he was stopped by the police for a minor traffic violation. When the police routinely checked the VIN through their computer, it was discovered that the car had been stolen from Santiago in New York and that the certificate of title was forged. When Santiago learned that is car had been located, he claimed ownership.

My question to you...yes or no

1. Will Santiago be able to recover his Cadillac?

2. Will the certificate of title Clay obtained from the out-of-town seller entitle him to ownership?

3. Is Clay a good-faith purchaser?

Earlier in the week I had a big, very important meeting planned with a prospective client. Key word is "planned". The problem was a huge car wreck occured and put traffic to a complete stop. It wasn't till an hour or so to move traffic again, and by that time, I had missed my meeting.

Sure, I called on my cell phone, but alas, it was no help. They were pinched for time and had to move on with their other business plans. I completely had a golden opportunity taken away from me. Not only that, I was counting on this commission to pay off my BMW.

My question is, I want to sue the people responsible for the accident, or the estates if they are dead, for the amount of commission I would have received. Clearly they are at fault, and my lawyer says I have a pretty good case actually. So, should I go forward with this lawsuit? I was so stressed and upset waiting in traffic, I think I might add a "pain and suffering" along with it as well.

Fallon agreed in writing to purchase a used truck from Sunset Motors with the understanding that a snowplow attachment be added. When Fallon attempted to take delivery of the truck, he found that the plow attachment had not been added. He refused to accept delivery. Sunset protested that the plow attachment was being shipped from Minnesota and that it wold be installed when it arrived. Sunset demanded that Fallon accept the truck.

My question yes or no

1. Can Fallon legally refuse to accept the truck?

2. Is this an example of condition precedent?

3. Is the contract enforceable?

Hello. I designed a skull and crossbones patch and an artist emailed me claiming that he designed the crossbones...

So I took a look at his version of the crossbones and they look similar but they are not the same. His looks like a sketchy doodle type drawing....I guess it's the disconnected jaw bone or something....

He is asking me to take in down....and to stop selling it....

Does he have the right to tell me to do so?

I am in Texas. I was hit by a driver in Dec. of 2004. Car was a total wreck, my mom & I were forced into therapy. Immediately the insurance company (Fred Loya) tried to settle for $100. They were very persistent, but we told them to wait until we were done with our medical bills to settle the claim (this is a legal right). A few months later, we finished physical therapy and submitted the final bills to them. They stalled and stalled and stalled. We called and called and called. We asked for superviors. We asked for managers. All of them gave me some kind of run-around. TO make a long story short, this went on for over 2 years and now the VP of claims says verbally - "sorry, statute of limitations is up & law says we don't owe you anything." I can prove I sent them everything and I have call logs to show that I kept calling them. THEY stalled, not me. Texas attorneys or insurance experts: Any advice on what i can do?

In Pennsylvania, "they" want to impose a 100% Porn Tax.

Although porn is an adult activity, it does not necessarily mean it is a sin, worthy of a "sin tax", especially 100%

Porn can be a picture, video, music and literature.

Where one person may view porn as vulgar, another may view it as entertainment, or even art.

So how do they draw the line? Some novels are porn. Some magazines have porno pictures, and some women's magazines even have descriptive articles (than even men find offensive to a degree).

Will cable TV and Satellite radio have some sort of porn tax? The library too? You can't tax one, and not the other. In the USA, media (no matter what form) is supposed to fall under free speech, thus not being liable for a tax, mainly magazines and books.

Then again, Pennsylvannia (PA) is known for overtaxing anything they can slip by the people. Look at the casinos in PA, they already spent the money from the profits, even before the casinos were built. ...so greedy..

Crowley, a building contractor, ordered 500 bags of cement from Litvak Building Supply. It was agreed taht Litvak would deliver to a building site and title would pass when delivery was made. Before the bags of cement could be loaded on a delivery truck, a train derailment destroyed much of the supply company's inventory.

My question yes or no.

1. Must Crowley bear the loss and recover damages from the railroad?

2. Is the requirement of delivery to a building site a condition precedent?

3. Did title to the bags of cement pass at the time the order was placed?

I plan to go to graduate school and study law, but if I want to enter politics eventually, what law would be best to study? Not only do I love studying government but I love studying chemistry as well, so I have always considered becoming a chemical patent attorney. Would my transition into politics be significantly easier if I studied constitutional law or some other type of law instead? If so, what type of law? Thanks for your help!

The other day I heard on the radio about a woman who got life in prison for killing her husband, he was a cop. In 2003 my sisters fiance was shot and killed (innocent bystander) and the murderer is out of prison now. I guess my question is, Why is it if you kill a cop you get more time in jai, I respect the job they do and I personally could not do it but what makes there life so much more important than a average persons life. I mean if you kill anybody you should get the same punishment across the board, my job should not determine your punishment if you kill me. Should it ? Whats your Opinion ?
