Gun laws only affect law abiding citizens. Criminals, regarless of race, do not follow current laws so any additional laws will be similarly ignored. Passing gun laws has shown no effect on crime reduction. Gun ownership is pretty much 100% prohibited in washington DC yet it has one of the highest crime rates in the country.
Australia recently banned almost all private gun ownership and crime went UP!
Criminals do not obey laws. That is why they are criminals.
Passing a law denying any race gun ownership would only stop law abiding members from getting guns. The criminal element would continue to break the law.

There should not be laws to prevent blacks from purchasing firearms. That being said, there are laws on the books which do just that by allowing the police officials broad powers to determine who will or will not get a gun.

New York City is a good example with a 28% African American population and Concealed Carry permit applications following the demographics, less than 10% of Concealed Carry Permits are issued to African Americans.

It's a myth that tougher gun laws erode the Constitutional Rights of the citizenry. To begin, what these laws are designed to do is protect society from a saturation of illegal guns obtained by some who purchase guns legally but then report them stolen while in reality they sell them for a profit. Thus a one gun a month law while not completely eliminating the illegal sale of guns, never-the-less reduces the amount of illegal firearms that show up in the community. And in the urban communities we continue to witness our men, women, and children falling in the streets like wheat from the sharpened sickle of those not trained to shoot straight. And let us keep in mind that our Constitution has been changed before for the sake of protecting the Union, i.e. the 13th Amendment which abolished slavery, an act that we all now can agree was barbaric. In conclusion, A wise man once said, "that the best way to get others to disarm - is to disarm yourself". When we take note of the devastation that these high power firearms are leaving in its' wake; if we possess just a modicum of conscience we will admit, that this thing has gotten completely out of control. Remember Virginia Tech, Columbine, Paducah, Kentucky, Philadelphia, L.A. Chicago, New York, etc. Enough is enough.

Nope. That would be discriminatory. Besides, what this country needs to do is address its problems (poverty, education, etc), not the symptoms.
