I think that people who are convicted of heinous murder without a single doubt to their innocence should be dealt with according to their crime?

For example. You have a 14 year old daughter who is abducted, tortured and raped and the killer is arrested. Should'nt you as a parent be given first right as to how the killer will be dealth with? (not to exceed the crime.)
If the killer is found guilty (or pleads guilty) with absolutley no chance that he may be innocent, shouldnt the parent get to torture and kill him in return (if he so chooses to?)

Or perhaps your spouse is murdered during a home robbery. Shouldn't you as a spouse get the right to execute the killer in the same fashion as he chose to murder?

I think if criminals knew that it was leagal to eliminate them the same way they choose to kill innocent people, then they would think twice about some of the crimes they commit.

I hear too many stories of mothers drowning their children, father microwaving their infants.

My employer has been putting me on call on nights and weekends. I do not get any comp time or overtime. I am a help desk (computer support) person. I make less than 50K$ a year. Am I entitled to compensation for the time I have worked over 40 hrs per week? I have recorded hrs back 5 months but never officially submitted them to my boss. He of course knows Im on call and doing work but specific hours I have not reported. If I am entitled to compensation, is it too late to get compensated for the time I worked in the past? Please only answer if you know, not if you think you know.

that all used to be at our location. We've been there a year and for a time I would write on the address "not at this address" and return it. What am I legally supposed to do with this mail? You can tell most of it is junk mail but some is not. What is the rules/laws regarding mail coming to your address with some one else's name on it? Apparently they did not do a change of address when they moved!

Or if a tree branch falls and hits someone? Wouldn't these be considered "acts of God"? You can't control nature!

My AMEX payment of $2,920 was due in full on Monday, July 9. So, on June 26, I mailed out a check for $3,000.

However, on Saturday, July 7 it was returned to my home. The top and bottom of the envelope were cleanly slit open and the check and payment stub were stapled 6 times to the envelope.

The postmaster wrote a note on the envelope stating that the letter could not be mailed in this condition.

I went to the PO first thing on Monday and told the manager someone had tampered with my mail and as a result, my payment arrived to AMEX late and I was charged a late fee of $90 (2.99%).

He denied it even though I put my mail directly in the blue postal boxes. Are they responsible or is asking them to pay the $90 too much. Also, on Monday I told him my payment was due and asked him to overnight it as a curosity...he refused.

We are in NJ. Mom died without a will, I am administrator (like an executor). Brother is living in house and I want to act as administrator and change ownership to him for our agreed upon price. He is getting a mortgage. Is a QuitCLaim Deed OK? He is NOT an upstanding citizen and I am trying to be careful, but not hire a lawyer since this is happening in 4 days!

I recently got into a fight with my mans ex. She came to my house to pick up her son and we had a verbal argument. She got out of her car, bumped my shoulder, backed me up into my car and pushed me. I punched her three times and then it was over. She called a friend (who came over & threatened me and my children - I have filed harrassment charges against her), then she called her lawyer, then the cops. Noone was arrested. She had several scratches on her face from a ring I was wearing. She said she didn't fight me and that I attacked her. However, I pressed charges and she did not. I have court with her in a week. What can I expect to happen at court? I have never been to court before so I need details. Thank you.

After she pushed me, I pushed her first, but then I saw her arm coming around, so I punched her. She grabbed my necklace and ripped it off, then grabbed my hair. She also kicked me. I told the officer that I had no marks, but later that

There is no reason other than the what the Christian Right says about homosexuality being evil in the eyes of God, when they don't really know what God really wants us to do, have they met with god recently, I doubt it.

Currently homosexuals don't get the marriage rights that we get on a legal level, so it's not just being cut off on a symbolical level.

Any other opinions would be nice, thanks : )

I got 3 misdemeanors on my record for 2 incedents of "wife beating" domestic battery, even though it was me throwing her ipod against the wall--apparently that's arrestable criteria.

Can I still become an M.D.

I know the answer is yes, but I have no source, and I know nothing about the law.
