my friends name is i.i recently went into ralphs and filled up a shopping cart full of jack daniels,about 20 bottles,and went out the fire exit and put a wood pallet in between the door and the posts in front of the door so it wouldnt open and got away clean.3 weeks later i went into the store again to do a similar thing but when he went into the store about 10 feet in,before he stole anything 3 managers tried to apprehend him but he is really fast and had his chuck taylors tied really tight so he got away.can they do this if i didnt steal anything that time?i wasnt even past the pharmacy yet.

They probably got your friend on camera. 20 bottles of jack daniels are worth a lot of money. I'm sure they want him caught. Weather or not your friend stole something that time they can still apprehend him if they have evidence. Just because you get out of the store doesn't mean you got away with it.your friend better hope they didn't have cameras in the parking lot too. Many stores do so that they can get lisense plate numbers of shoplifters.

Yep they sure can. The statute of limitations on theft is at least 7 years. Your friend is lucky, if it had been in my business, I'd have killed him and put a weapon in his hand for when the cops got there so it would have been a justifiable homicide.

Yes, they probably have the idiot on camera. If you kill someone on Friday you can still get arrested on Saturday even if you didn't do anything on that day. Same goes for any crime.

yes if they got you on video they can stop you in the store and bring charges on you. if they can identifie you they dont have to catch you in the store. you are guilty of commercial burglary.
