Most cities have a legal aid office. Call your state bar and ask for a referral. Your landlord sounds like an asshole.

I do not know about leagle answers, but for legal answers your best bet is to get a lawyer.

This will be expensive ... could be thousands of dollars, so you have to decide which is most important to you

... pay the lawyer costs & hopefully get to stay where they want to evict you, or pay moving expenses to some place else, if you can find some place else.

I doubt you are telling us everything ... every place I have ever lived, they are HAPPY to get the money ... they only evict people if there are a whole bunch of problems.

Contact the court. Ask them if they can direct you to an attorney that can either help you or at least explain what's happening.

get you a prepaid legal plan. They will answer your questions and help you out. Unlimited legal advice is part of what they offer for a low monthly payment wouldn't be without mine!
