Anyone out there knowledgeable on copyright law? I would be selling these stickers and badges, but would not edit the copyrighted material in any way. I know very little about copyright legislation, but even to me it sounds unlikely. Are there any loopholes or legitimate ways to produce these badges/stickers??

(EDIT - The sales will be within a school and all profit will go to school funds, although I doubt this changes much)

No. Whether the items are copyrighted or not you can not use their likeness for anything without permission.

The selling it is the problem, yes it would be illegal if it's copyrighted material and you don't have the ok to do that.

Actually, it's trademark law -- not copyright law.

And no, other than limited (personal) use not-for-profit references, using the trademark name or logo of any company (sports team or otherwise) is generally trademark infringement.
