recently i have read of a teenager in indiana, who was ticketed, hauled into court,fined and given community service,all for saying a four letter word in school.can you beleive it?is this political correctness gone mad?to think real,armed police were called and actually responded!thats scary.... thats orwellian.what ever became of the first ammendmant.? isTHIS what were paying taxes for?my god, if the kid had farted he probablywould have been charged with a felony!!!!!!

My friend was recently accused of suspected sexual harrassement, he was arrested and bailed while investigation took place, there was no proof, no witnesses just a little sexual bantering went on that this women took the wrong way and "cried rape". No further action was the result by the police but throughout his whole ordel he was suspended for a while, all his work friends obviously knew and ruined his self confidence and respect and the woman that did this is still working in the same company and dropped all charges as she knew she had taken it all too far. Can my friend sue her for all what she has put him through.

If a person who you live with has your social sec. number
and you find forms for insurance fraud, mortgages, and long letters in handwriting clearly not yours with a completely clearly forged signature is there ANY way you can get a legal name change? They got it by looking through my things and threatening etc... How can you protect your social security number in the future? I was told that the soc. sec. number was to be left the way it is, but this is terrible and a bad situation unless, could there be a special circumstance like an emergency where it could be changed or something? This person is also abusive, has a history of stalking, threats, and money transfer scams at the bank?

I paid my ex-landlord a year ago RM190 for deposit and utilities. Now that I had move out, he gave me an account saying that he deduct all those water bill and current bill and lastly in his account, he said that I still owe him RM3.62, and never provide me any evidence (ie. those current bill and water bill). He told me to trust his deduction but he never show me those bills, and I don't trust him at all.

Am I right that if he doesn't provide me those bills, he could not deduct any cent from my deposit and should pay all back to me unless he could provide me those bills?

Where can I seek for help to force him to give me back my money? The amount is just a little to the lawyer, where I think it is not worth paying for lawyer fees just to get back my RM190.

What should I do?

The accident was happened on private parking lot. No one injured. The police won't come to invest private parking lotaccident in Michigan. I was driving on the right side of a main lane(2 lanes). I had road right. The other side driver who involved into the accident was driving through the parking lot from one area to another. She was crossing my road from left to right. But I think she was driving fast and failed to yeild. I hit on her passenger side doors. She complained that I should yeild or stop. I told her that there's no stop sign and I had road right and she should yield. She didn't admit it's her fault and said she yeilded. But I didn't see any car yield beside the road.
There is no other witness. Her husband was in her passenger side. Can he be witness?
So far I know my car's front pump, hook and coolant are damaged.
In this case. Who is fault?

ok, heres the story. i work at a restaurant that gets busy on the weekends. anyhow, there was a waitress who used to work here but now has gone to other things. but when when she was waitressing she met a man. that man is now behind bars but he calls in to check up on her. the thing is, he calls in excess. but he also calls collect. how do we stop receiving phone calls from the facility.?

my soon to be husband got a divorce a few years back. He is paying child support and we are not sure if the child is his. I know that if we try to get a dna done his ex- will just say no. So how do we go about and get one done threw court without a lawyer or do we need to get one? If so how much is this going to cost us? we live in oklahoma but the court we deal with is in kansas. We want to know if the child is his so we both can see the baby. We love the child either way someone please help us.

man 1 owes man 2 X amount of money. At court date man 1 is given a month to pay before second court date and made aware that at second court date if money is not paid jail time and a sherriff sale will be the result. In that 30 days man 1 transferrs titles of all properties owned free and clear to a third party so they can not be sold at sherriff sale. Is there any kind of penalties for such actions by man 1?

Last October (2006) I got into a real bad car accident on the freeway (car totaled) I wasnt offered an ambulance but i went to the emergency anyway.. turns out I had bruised muscle around my spine and x rays showed a "break in the bone" quote the doctor (not a fracture) but "a break" on my left hand. I wasn't provided a cast but a cheap strap on brace??? How the heck can the doctor give me a brace when i had a "break in the bone" on the top of my hand? I was on vicodin and IbProfin b/c the break was so painful and my hand was as big as a balloon. So the brace didnt even keep the top of my hand tight and gave me slack to move the bone... Everyone told me i needed a real cast. Now 8 months later i get pains at night and my bone pops in and out of place and it hurts alot b/c I dont think it healed correctly. Do i have a case? Shouldnt i have gotten a real cast from this cheap health care? Also i live in a not so friendly neighborhood in los angeles and it took me like 6 hours to be seen.

There is horse slaughter going on in America by a foreign owned business. They do not pay real taxes for killing our horses, they do not obey state laws, they are polluting our water with the waste, and the USDA is inspecting meat that people overseas will eat, not us.
This practice is brutal, the horse is alive when it is taken apart piece by piece. Some think this is funny, some support it but the fact is our House of Representatives has bill HR 503 and our Senate S 311 up for consideration, so not so funny when our Congress for the most part is trying to stop it.

My freind was getting disability check from S.S. While he was working as a roofer under the table he fell off the roof and had a back injury. Well he sued the roofing company. They are paying worker compensation. He has been getting a worker comp check every week for about two years now. and a disability check fron the S.S. Well every thing was going great until the insurance found out. They called the S.S. and told them about it. was that legal for the insurance to invade his privacy. and give out private imformation to the S.S.

He died suddenly 6 weeks after I gave him a loan of $8,000 U.S. dollars. He bought a truck, tools, and ? with it. He signed an informal handwritten contract for me, no cosigner, not notoraized. He was expecting a check from compensation any day to repay me. Now his family says I'm getting nothing since the check won't come and since he had no money banked. Can I get the comp money or am I able to retreive the vehicle and tools that I "bought"? How do I pursue this?
Note: I am suffering a great loss of a dear friend.....and I am just able to function enough to start to think about recovering my monetary losses. Any knowledgeable advice is greatlly appreciated! (New York State, USA)

I posted a wig on craigslist. Lacefront, never worn. Lady conatcted me from another state asking if i would consider shipping, take paypal, and drop the price by $25. I aggreed. After the fact learned paypal charges for transaction so i only made $118, down from the $150 i posted the wig for. I emailed the lady pics of the wig, exact measurements, gave here the website I had purchased the wig from and everything. She wanted the wig. Once shipped she emails me saying it is longer than what she expected and does not fit the way she would like and that she is sorry but can't keep the wig and wants a refund. Am I obligated to refund her money? I never said it was a final sale, but i also never said I would give refund. Plus , I went out of my way to get her this wig, i was only looking for a local sale. I originally paid $400 for this wig and never wore it and she got it for only $125. She got the better end of the deal. So do i legally owe her a refund?
