I have been charged with 2 felonies , intimidation and filing a false police report against a police officer . I have been having trouble with this officer for a long time . In pretrial the judge read the police report and said he saw no evidence of the charges and ordered them to itemize the charges . Another pretrial was set and they never itemized the charges so the judge dismissed without prejudice . Immediately the prosecutor appealled . When I went to arraighnment they used the same exact police report word for word and all they did for itemization was write felony A with a date and felony B with a date .The police officer is gunning for me and and I am sure he is pushing the prosecutor . Is this itemization , I am sure what the judge wants to see is the actual wrongdoing the dates are plain to see in the police report . My lawyer set a date for a motion to dismiss the charges because the prosecutor did not do what the judge ordered them too.

I was wondering after my father was brought in on Jury duty to a rape trial. How does a jury decide. The case concerned a man and a woman. The woman said the man raped her three months prior, when asked wy she didnt report it sooner, she said she was too ashamed. The man said he did have sex with this woman, that it was consentual.
My father was the chairman of the jury, it concluded that the man was innocent.
But why do you think? How would you decide who is telling the truth. Is there any hard evidence to prove convicted rapist's committed their crime? Random question but it makes you think...

without being sued for wrongful termination?

This person is always on time and does a good job at what she does, but she is always in a rotten mood and brings down everyones' mood with her. She is constantly trying to bully the younger employees into doing things for her, (i.e. go to starbucks and get her coffee) and if they don't do it she will spread rumors about them and talk endlessly about them behind their backs, so that others will turn against them. I know it sounds childish, but she acts like a teenage girl even though she is in her 40's, and she knows just how to push everyone's buttons. Most people try to avoid her at all cost, but it's difficult not to get caught in her wrath.

Almost everyone that works here wants the manager to fire her, but the manager doesn't think he can do it without getting a law suit (and believe me, I wouldn't put it past this woman to sue the company for wrongful termination.)

My husband has pressed charges against his ex wife's husband for harrassment (this guy didn't stop the harrassment even after the police told him to stop) I think the police got upset that he thumbed his nose at them and DA has taken the case. My husbands ex wife keeps saying "it's not worth going to court over, it wasn't that big of deal". She even emailed us today and offered us money to drop the case. But I'm wondering - if it weren't a big deal, would the DA have taken the case? Or does the DA have to take any case he's given? Clearly, I don't know much about 'criminal' things, does anyone have any information that would clear this up for me?

I basically just threw in a set of MP3 files on a CD that went along with the book, except I burned them for the users convenience. The listing was promptly removed, I learned my lesson, and NO TRANSACTION whatsoever was made with anyone. The CD's were not even going to be burned until someone had bought the books. The company is now emailing me and threatening to take legal action if I do not pay for the price of the CD's (which I already purchased legally) and send an appology letter etc. I was wondering have I commited any kind of crime by doing all this? Remember no transaction was made. I am worried that if I send an appology I am admitting that I have done something that I haven't and that will lead to worse problems.

Thanks!

Can a person sue if he or she asked the police officer if they should have a lawyer present and were told that he or she shouldn't because they were not being charged with anything; and then were coerced into confession?

Just found out that my husband took a line of credit against our home to buy land in the country without disclosing our marriage to the lender.

Even though my name is not on the title to the house (he bought it before we married), it has accrued significant value/equity since our marriage. Also he has of course not put my name on the title to the land he recently purchased.

On the "affadavit of borrower" there is a part that says that he is single (if married spouse must also sign).

He signed this affadavit and other papers pertaining to the loan in front of a notary to get this line of credit/loan.

Is it then considered perjury?

Anyone have any idea's or thoughts on this whole subject?

A woman in a Wichita, Kansas convenience store was stabbed and left to die. Five customers stepped over her to make their purchases and one even took out a camera phone and took a picture of the dying woman. It took a full two minutes before anyone called the police. The victim died.

Why do you think people would do this? Would you? What punishment, if any, do you think they should receive for what they've done?

If I adopt a child, at any age, say, over the age of 4-14, how
much of that Child's Life, do I really own? Do I have a Right to
Boss His Side of the Bloodline, that connects to the Child?
Do I have Right to Force the Child, to Neglect His Bloodline?
Do I prevent Him from Knowing, His Bloodline?
HOW MUCH OF THE CHILD, DO I GET FOR THE MONEY
I PAID FOR THE CHILD?
I want the child to be OF MY FAMILY, IN MY FAMILY...BUT...
does his bloodline, keep him from that?
Can I ever own the Child...Wholely?
These are some frequent questions which People have
asked me, an Advocate, and it has brought me to take an
interest in Adoption, & the process of Adoption & studying
the laws on Adoption.
There is so many questions about Adoption, and The

I know that until you turn 18 you are considered a child but then why do a lot of public communities set the age of majority to 21? They let you drive at 16 but you're not mature enough to vote or drink. Or else you're mature enough to vote but not to drink?? For example the ice skating rink views people under 12 as children and people 21 and over are adults! I thought 18 was an adult!! What is up with this. Why cant they just set ONE age as adult?

Plus a lot of studies show that children stop growing at 22 or around that age, so shouldnt the definition of a child be someone who isnt done growing yet? Someone old enough to be responsible

I recently moved out of the dorms at my school and was fined for nail holes/ paint damage and im not certain to which one they are charging me for... I believe that this is a scam because at the beginning when i moved in they have you fill out a damage report prior to moving in so you wont be charged for damage caused by prior residents...this report says that there has been a room inspection prior to me moving in..so i didnt feel that it was necessary to report every hole or paint damage due to the fact that the reports states that all damage has been already recorded...what should I say to help me win this case and not be fined 63.00 dollars? Please Help? examples welcome!!!!!!!!

John Adams defended the British soldiers who ahd fired on a crowd of Americans. It was called the Boston Massacre. He got acquittals for 7 of the Redcoats, and lower charges than murder for 2. He later wrote that it was "one of the msot gallant, generous, manly, and disinterest actions of my whole life, and one of the best pieces of service I ever rendered my country."

John Adams stood up for justice, feeling it was essential to his country.

So why don't we allow the alleged (ALLEGED!) terrorist detainees at Gitmo to have a fair and vigorous defense based on the rule of law? Are we so afraid of them that we can countenance abandoning all notion of justice?

Is "Abdul" a Terrorist? PROVE IT or release him.

My boss is the "WORSE" I've ever seen (I've been here for only 6 months and 5 people have quit and 2 of those walked out without another job). My friend walked out after having a huge confrontation with my boss, bc someone overheard my boss talking junk about him to another coworker. So does he still get his paid time off? Or is there a certain amount of time that you're suppose to give?

I have sort of a complicated situation. I have a very ungreatful xgirlfriend. Aprox in december 06 my x girlfreind was wining she wanted a pug puppy. I had some extra money, so i said i can go buy the dog cash right now but you got to help me with some of my bills this month, She said fine. I paid 600.00 for the dog and bought it cash on the spot. To make a very long story short on april 25th i put a restraining order against her, threw her out of the house. When we went to court i agreed she can have the dog as long as i am paid back and she comes to the house via third party to retrieve the dog, she agreed to her brother. I moved out of her and i shared apt on may 9th as i recentley bought a house. According to the court order she was suppost to come back to the shared apartment to retrieve the puppy or have her brother retrieve the puppy. On may 11th i called her brother, He said he can not get ahold of her. He is a otr truck driver and clearley can not keep a dog. I asked him where is the dog? He stated he has no idea. I called my neighbor and he said she has not been back yet. So i had no other choice to go to the apt and take the dog. It was 3 days after i moved out and yet no one had been there. I just could not let a 5 month old puppy die. So i took the dog. On may 27 (yes almost one month later) my x txt messaged me and said she wanted the dog. She had not been home in a month, if i didnt take the dog she would have died. I in turn told her no im keeping the dog for her safety as my x has a drinking problem and a drug problem at this point. In return i got bombarded with false police reports harrassment claims etc by her. In toatil she tried calling the cops on me 12 times. Nothing ever came of any of it. At this point i have just had it and asked if i could have the akc papers signed over to me. She replied using harsh language to say the least. I so far have sent a registered letter with the akc paperwork being ignored. At this point i simpley want her to sogn the puppy into my name as for months i have been caring for it she has never again tried to get this dog as i also have had to pay for all the shots etc. Is it possible i can take this idiot to small claims to force her to sign the pedegree into my name. Any help or advice would be greatley appreciated.
thank you.
