"Libby's friends and supporters have raised more than $5 million to cover legal fees and were continuing to raise money " so as to allow Libby to be hurt only with $250,000 fine? Is American Leadership suggesting that it's okay to betray this nation as long as one has rich friends and supporters and that money erases all crimes? Are the powerful rich in America suggesting that the American Public should uphold the reasoning that only friends of the wealthy have a right to commit crimes and still walk the streets?

What has happened to real moral values in America? aawe are heading to the filthy old plantation days where the rich and the powerful could commit crimes without having to be punished for them.

I keep reading where others think marriage is a religious issue, and the government is only involved for the best interest of the children. I say neither is true. I wasn't married in a church yet i feel my marriage is very valid. The courts don't worry about the children, except in child abuse cases, which has nothing to do with marriage. In custody cases the court is only interested the money they can make off child support, not the children. Can anyone explain this?

I park my new car in my company's parking lot. Every week, a lawn mowing company mows the lawn around the parking lot and gets grass all over my back bumper (I park head out far enough from the cement stop so that my back bumper is not over the grass).

I usually don't mind the mess although it is very difficult to remove - not to mention, technically ruins my paint.

I just washed my car yesterday. I had a very long day at work today and I find my car dirty with hard-to-remove-paint-damaging-grass.

Do I have any rights here in terms of maybe someone paying for my carwash? I think it's silly of me to escalate this but I am very careful to not get in the way of those mowing the lawn for them to just be inconsiderate and aim the cut grass at my car. Who would be responsible - my company or the lawn mowing company? and how would I go about getting a free car wash, if possible?

Thanks!

I know there are many men out there who do not take responsibilites seriously but it is also about time women took their responsibilites and realised they are only half of a loving parental unit.
I get fed up with hearing about CSA and how it fails women.
My husband pays £1000 per month for 1 child. He is left with enough money to pay the morgage no more. On top of this he is denied access to his daugther, by the mother not the legal system and has no spare money to fight this.
My husband was left with his daughter when his wife walked out. through the divorce he had to buy his ex wife out of the house. When she decided 4 years later to walk back in an take their daughter away my husband was powerless to do anything as he was merely the father.
my husband was also not entitled to benefits or to calim support from his ex while he had care of his daughter.
This is not a unusual story and feel it's about time fathers had their rights as parents equalised.

I originally thought they were going to take my car because it has the financial institutions name on it that I am financing my car through but I just remembered I have a saving account there. Are they going after the account or my car?

I have a lot of debt and I haven't gotten a job since I finished school- I haven't answered when they call becasue they want me to make promises I cant keep.

A collector called my estranged father and gave him the amount I owe, my account number and she said they where going to get a judgment against me.

He is not on the account. isn't it illegal to tell him that info? I looked on the fair debt collection site and they said it was.
I can't afford an attourney- what should I do?

Also, If they get a judgment what does that mean for me?

I am 19 and am about to enter my sophomore year in my liberal arts college in California. My parents pay the amount of money I am not provided by the school through financial aid (about $10,000 a year out of $46,000).

My parents said to me today, "We don't want to pay for your school anymore." However, they have the money to pay for it. Is there a law that forces parents pay for the remainder of their child's education? I am worried because my parents don't want to pay for my schooling anymore and I would have to drop out for a few years and work to go back.

Please help!

VERY long story short. i just need a yes or answer/opinion

my cousin was my room mate. who didnt pay his rent. (long long story) he lied to EVERYONE about EVERYTHING(parents, my friends, his friends, exs etc) I kicked him out of the house. hes still making up lies telling people i owe HIM money, im a s*** and im sleeping with my bfs brother (who is GAY btw)...making up stories to other people about other people....my boyfriend & his brother want to kick his a**. Im tryin to be humble and just deal with it on my own terms because Court will be very very exhausting for me and expensive. But hes testing my limits. And if i REALLY need to, i will take him to court. What do you think...should i wait it out and deal with it, or screw it and deal with court. i have more then enough evidence...

btw, he didnt get caught earlier because you wouldnt believe how detailed of a liar he is. he should be an actor. i see him as a completely different person. its scarey

I think that abortion is wrong, but I feel bad for poor women who keep having lots of children just so they can get meager government benefits. What if we impose mandatory sterilization after 2 kids in the lower economic tiers. Hey, this could get rid of poverty too!

Went to a co-workers house for a movie night. Their dog was playing, sitting on people's laps etc. At one point, dog came up and sat down in front of me. I leaned in and said softly "Oh, cutie what are you doing?" Dog freaked out, jumped up and bit my face, tearing my upper lip. The owners drove me to the hospital, and were obviously upset. They were concerned that the dog would be killed if I reported it to the police. I did not want the dog killed either, so when the ER staff called the police, I told the police I did not know who's dog it was. Of course, this meant that I had to keep going back for the rabies shots which the ER people said I could only get there. The owners offer to pay all medical bills, which was $1500 of ER visits. They have since paid me $300, but have not made any attempts to repay the rest. I have a large scar 4 mos. later. Just want ER bills paid, am not looking for damages. Should I take them to small claims? I did lie to the police. Will this hurt my case?

My mom had died , her branch and account was in California, I live in Idaho. Her bank said I need a court order to have them release a copy of her bank statement which I need to track down where she had her life insurance through. I am real low buck dude trying to do this on the cheap, by myself if possible. It seems too simple and quick to need to involve an attorney. One wanted $4000.00 to even consider the case!

I was reading a magazine article about that pregnant lady who had gone missing about a month ago. They had found her and her unborn baby, and the boyfriend was convicted. He was charged with murder of both his girlfriend AND her unborn baby.

How is it that he was charged with murder of the unborn baby? Isn't it the same concept of abortion (especially Partial-Birth Abortion)? If abortion is not murder, then how come ending the life of a fetus IS?

P.S. I'm a pro-lifer. I'm not sticking up for this guy. I just want you opinions (especially legal opinions)!
