The father filed for Custody of his 16 yr old daughter on 4/24/07 due to drugs being found in the mothers home. The mother received the papers on 4/27/07. On 5/1/07 the mother signed for the daughter to marry. They picked up the marriage license on 5/4/07. The daughter came for her normal visit and said nothing. She found out her child support would be paid on 5/9/07. Father already had Joint Legal Custody which requires the mother to at least inform him of any decisions that affect the childs "health, welfare, or education". They did not inform him prior. In fact, the child text the father a message to wish him a Happy Anniversary and then include "Umm me and Jade got married yesterday". Now the Judge is questioning whether he has legal standing to find the mother in contempt of court. He state the child is emancipated and therefore the case is dead in the water. We are arguing that the mother was in contempt prior to the emancipation since she did not inform him prior to.

Like, how speedily are things supposed to move along in those sorts of things? A child was molested for ten years, removed (by the wife/step mother) on Jan 6 of 2006, and there's still no news of a trial, despite the child having already given her deposition. The child's now seventeen, and a trial hasn't been set, but there are rumours it might be around september. She hasn't heard from the police, and neither has the step mother. So, what in the world is going on here? Is it normal for the police to take almost two years to prosecute accused child molesters?

Why is it a law to buckle your seatbelt while driving but it is legal for a woman to choose whether or not to have an abortion?

If it is the woman's right to do what she wants with her body, why is it a law to tell her to buckle up?

A bit hypocritical.... but I want to hear other people's points.

My question is that I am taking an old man a car that came from Arkansas. I am driving from Texas to Flordia but the problem is that the tags are out of date! This car does not belong to me I'm just doing this as a favor! What are the laws on driving the vehicle from here to there with expired tags? Are they the same as driving it in any state? Also with the insurance is it true that my insurance will cover the vehicle if it has temporary tags? Thanks

A lady reported to the police that I was masturbating while driving in my jeep (not guilty). I was arrested when I pulled in the hardware store to pick up landscaping materials. The officer said she called and reported my license plate. The officer did ask her to come back by to ID me and she did
Went to court today and the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence and the lady literally changed her story 3 times! While in court I find out that she had access to my personal information: (Job, address, phone numbers, ect.) witch really pissed me off. Yet I did not know who she was until today.
I am thinking about a suing her for damage expenses (bail, lawyer cost, impound, ect )
Do I have a case? Or should I just cut my losses and move on?

I have 3 questions:
1. Does a person who is a citizen but has never worked get a social security check after a certain age?

2. If yes, then what age is that and how much do they get?

3.What if someone has worked but just for a few months, do they get the benefit?

Thanks.

In Slate Magazine (http://www.slate.com/id/2169454/fr/flyout), there is an article that lauds the brilliance of Sicko but finds several problems with Moore's answer to the problem. Basically it says placing healthcare in government's hands would require pay cuts to doctor's, better handling of malpractice lawsuits, dealing with the price of prescription drugs, and the simple principle of what's free is abused. Can anyone give me good evidence to refute this. Not a debate I just want to see the other side of the coin.

Where do you go, and how much do it cost?
And when you change it does it change in everything, like social security, birth certificate, mail, credit cards, drivers license etc.?
Once you change it, does it show in your record that you had a name change, and what your name was before you changed it?

Thanks =]

"My friend" has a co-worker named "Linda". "Linda" works 2 jobs, one of which is M to F 830 to 430 M to T, F is 9 to 12. So that is her full time, primary job. She also has a 2nd job where she works weekends and the remainder of her Friday. "Linda" was recently injured at her 2nd job and is using the benefits of workmen's comp. It is not confirmed if at her second job she is full or part time since it is retail, but she is getting the benefits via check. "Linda" continues to work at her 1st job and her injury does cause some conflict because it has to do with her hands. My question is, what she is doing is that fraud, shouldnt she be at home collecting 2 checks?? I need to know what is going on here. I really cant obtain a straight answer via internet. Any input is appreciated...

Thank you!

in the state of california, can you get into trouble with the cops for skinny dipping in your backyard pool? I usually go swimming at night by myself since i love the peace and quiet, but we have kids on all houses near us. So I figured that If i go swimming at night without a bathing suit it would be ok. A family member recently told me that if a neighbor see's me they could call the cops and have me arrested for indesent exposure. is that true?

I have some understanding of the system but would like more info. I know there are 12 jurors with one alternate. Correct? Does the prosecutor pick six and the defending attorney pick six? Do they both have to agree on the others choices? Also would like to know if all jurors have to agree or if half of them say guilty and the other half not guilty what happens then? Do they have to convince the other half to change their minds? Or what if only one says not guilty?

Is it illegal to have sex in a car in New York State....or Colorado??

Doesnt really matter now that I'm older,
But I did it A LOT when I was younger...
and i was just wondering if you could get arrested for it.

** I know you can't if it's on your own property and nobody can see you **

But does anyone know the TECHNICAL rule for it??

I looked up some of the other posts and they just seemed like a bunch of UN educated guesses.

I'd like specifics. Lol.
