Hi there

i understand a fair bit about copyright but not the specifics when put into practice in music.

Heres the scenario:

a band of 4 people create and record an original song and record an EP. all 4 have an input by 2 maybe do the majority.

The 2 who arguably put the most into the song ie:created most of the lyrics and the chorus etc decide to leave the band and go their seperate ways.

The 2 remaining members recruit 2 new people and 1 year later decide to re-record the song that was created by the old members. Who owns the copyright?

Where do they stand if the new band want to re-record the song and release it potentially for financial gain?

any advice gratefully accepted, however please ensure it is relevant to the music industry and the situation rather than general basic copyright details

he was kicked out of the army for a 2nd degree burglary charge. but was not sentenced yet with the civilian side. Can the army do this or will the civilans have to drop charges cause of double jepoary?

I am a female in a commited long term same-sex relationship. I have been in contact with a man who is willing to act as a donor. Not wanting to spend so much of our savings on artificial insemination, we have decided that this man and I will engage is sexual activity in the hopes of my getting pregnant. He has a clean bill of health and medical records that I have reviewed.

My question is this: he has 3 children and a happy family. He does not intend to be part of this childs life, we have talked about this, and it is the best for both of our situations. He is doing this as a service to me, he is a regular sperm donor. However this case is different since we are consensually comitting to a physical act.

What legal steps should be taken to assure that both of us are taken care of? We trust each other, but it is a general legal safety thing to protect yourself. Can a basic termination of parental rights form be signed, or is it more complicated?

Just why? Are they miseralbe with nothing better to do with their lives? & they're always trying to get TOO personal in people's business. I don't see them as trying to help. All they're done was harmed my life. Even in situations where families have done nothing wrong, I've seen parents get their kids taken away & put into the CPS system. My twin sister was going in to have her 3rd baby & they called CPS on her & tried to get all 3 kids taken away from her just because she didn't have anybody to watch the other 2 while she was in labor. That wasn't right because she's a good mother.

I was readingThe Declaration of Geneva and it said that you can't "Ipermit considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient"

so If you were the only doc. on duty, and you were working on a patient whose life was in danger and the president need emergency help, who would you chose?

Some punk kid tried to light it on fire.

Do people have the nerve? Obviously so to try to light someone on fire which could be considered a felony and
assault.

My father is in prison for life? Will I get in trouble if I use his social security number? We have the same name. Like, for an example, college. They want your parents information so if I give them my dads, I should do pretty well money wise. Just wondering how the whole thing works when they go to prison like if their social and stuff are like frozen across the board.

If an employee gets shot by a robber at a small mom&pop market, what happens? If the owner of the store doesn't have any insurance. Who pays for employee's injury? What if he/she dies? Can the employee or employee's family sue the owner of the store?

I understand the fact that the imigrants are breaking the law. That some of them are criminals, literally. But what about the "Imigrants" that came to the US with a Visa of their country and stayed here. The ones that are working in a FACTORY with legal ID and are paying taxes every year[like my dad's friend] Dont you think they deserve to be rewarded in the US to be legals?
I think the government should like at least search for ALL the imigrants and reward the ones that are paying taxes, the ones that came with Visa and stuff like that. Put yourselfves in their shoes: you came here to the US to have a better life, u left your family, your mother to get you butt back to your country.
I also read that some of you wrote that they should go back to their country and come back in legally...HELLO thats gonna take a long time, even more if you get deported.
No to be racist or anything but I've seen that hispanics are the ones that work their *** in tha factory. 2 be continued

I am 21 years old and I have basically raised my 15 year old sister by myself from the time she was born up until a few years ago. My step mom takes really good care of her and loves her, but my sister isn't happy there. I was molested by my father and I am afraid he might molest her too, if he hasn't already. I want to take her from there. She wants to be with me also and I only want what's best for her. She is also chronically depressed and she has said she wants to kill herself. I know I can help her because when I was around she was so happy and cheerful. Please tell me if there is any way to get her. How do I start?

On the tv show "Cops" do they have to give you a release form to sign in order to show your face? Some people are blocked out but the majority are not. I'm wondering why. The same with the show "To Catch a Predator" on Dateline. Most are not blocked out but I just couldn't imagine ANYONE would want their photo shown!
