Just why? Are they miseralbe with nothing better to do with their lives? & they're always trying to get TOO personal in people's business. I don't see them as trying to help. All they're done was harmed my life. Even in situations where families have done nothing wrong, I've seen parents get their kids taken away & put into the CPS system. My twin sister was going in to have her 3rd baby & they called CPS on her & tried to get all 3 kids taken away from her just because she didn't have anybody to watch the other 2 while she was in labor. That wasn't right because she's a good mother.

My twin sister lives out of state. Our whole family is scattered around b/c of Hurricane Katrina. She moved far away up north, & I'm still in the south. & we don't have all that much money.

A LOT OF THEM ARE MISERABLE BITCHES WITHOUT A LIFE BECAUSE OF THEIR VICIOUS ACTIONS NOBODY WANTS TO BOTHER WITH THEM. SO THEY USE THAT BITTERNESS TO CAUSE MISERY IN INNOCENT PEOPLE'S LIVES.

Why don't families step up and take more responsibility for themselves? Why don't extended family members and neighbors try to help instead of calling CPS and making referrals on people? Do you really think that caseworkers drive around town and try to drum up business? GET REAL. The real problems are the nosy neighbors and more often than not "family" members who call CPS instead of trying to do something that would actually help the parents and improve the lives of the children. Caseworkers are legally required to check out any and every complaint that gets called in to their agency, regardless of how stupid it may seem. Maybe if people didn't waste the workers' time with false allegations and stupid complaints, the system would not be so overburdened and CPS would actually be able to do their jobs without all the problems that are associated with the system as it is now.

And for the record, no matter how good a mom your sister is, it's inappropriate for her to take them to the hospital with her when she is in labor. What, she's going to be supervising them while delivering their sibling? Again, get real. The hospital is not a daycare center and I find it extremely hard to believe that she couldn't find one person to care for the kids while she was in the hospital.

Sometimes they just don't have enough work to keep them busy, or they are looking for trouble. Most of them aren't that well educated, although they may have some kind of degree, but they are not paid very well either.
If your sister was in labor, why wasn't someone available to take care of the other two? Surely she wasn't going to leave the two alone! What about you? Couldn't you have helped?
Also remember that there are always busybodies around who look for situations where they feel the need to call CPS. The best thing to do is to protect and take care of your children and other children in your family also. Never leave them alone. Don't hit them. And keep order in your house.

It's their job. They have to do it to keep their job. I've run into this BS before several times. One woman I knew her son called the "authorities" because he was getting punished fr something he did and the social workers came and checked out the whole home and questioned the neighbors about the family and their personal life.

They see things in black and white. They don't see the gray areas where someone would need a little temporary help; which is what the vast majority of people really need.

Heaven help us if we get along without them controlling everything.
