The accident was happened on private parking lot. No one injured. The police won't come to invest private parking lotaccident in Michigan. I was driving on the right side of a main lane(2 lanes). I had road right. The other side driver who involved into the accident was driving through the parking lot from one area to another. She was crossing my road from left to right. But I think she was driving fast and failed to yeild. I hit on her passenger side doors. She complained that I should yeild or stop. I told her that there's no stop sign and I had road right and she should yield. She didn't admit it's her fault and said she yeilded. But I didn't see any car yield beside the road.
There is no other witness. Her husband was in her passenger side. Can he be witness?
So far I know my car's front pump, hook and coolant are damaged.
In this case. Who is fault?

You are both at fault for not being better defensive drivers. However, it was more her responsibility to not cause the accident if you were in a marked travel lane and she was not. Also, the fact that you hit her in the passenger door (less than half way back on a car going forwards) indicates that she entered your right of way. I hope both of you have insurance and they will sort this out.

Well you don't state what state you are in, In NY there is what they call NO FAULT . Which means the insurance co does not bother to find out who's fault the accident is. If you state has that same kind of policy then don't sweat it.

As for the fact that is was a private lot you might want to contact the owner of the lot to put better signage in the lot.

But I will tell you that the PD can not enforce these signs because it is a private lot.

The only enforcement the PD can do in a private lot is Fire Lanes and Handicapped.

Now keep in mind here that I am giving you information based on the State of New York DMV regulations. Your state might be different.

Good Luck

That appears like you're going to turn out to be going 50/50. Basically either one of you will have made a mistake or neither of you has. You could have got to turn out whilst precisely the door used to be opened and that's going to be unattainable. A well attorney would support however I doubt it.

As the accident occured on public property and Michigan is a "no-fault" state, you will need to have full coverage you your auto in order to collect for any damages.

Right of way is never a valid excuse for allowing your car to collide with another car. A driver is always supposed to be in complete control of his vehicle.
