Lets just say if I was raped and killed by a mad man and the same thing was to happen to a women in Texas America, my murdurer would get life in prison (Approx 15 years) But the women in America's murdurer would get the lethal injection.

Does this mean that her life was worth more than mine?

Or is it just that america are living in the dark ages??

If abortion is going to be made illegal at some point in the future, there should also be a law that holds men equally accountable. This seems especially appropriate when you realize that the abortion laws are being changed by men.

Any male who does not use contraception and an unwanted pregnancy occurs, that male should spend nine months in jail. Following the birth of this child, this male will be legally responsible for a portion of the child's living expenses through a court-determined date, payable to the adoptive parents or institution responsible for the child.

When you consider that most sexual contact is initiated by men (don't men complain about that all the time?) then it seems they would also want to carry part of the burden.

I own my house and rent out the rooms to friends on the verbal agreement that they will pay me rent every month and pay for anything they break or destroy, also that they give me timly notice when they want to move out. My roommate just gave me 2 hours notice that he was leaving and that he was not going to pay to fix anything or pay any rent for the month. I want to take him to small claims court for the damage and the rent do I have a case?

My mother got married years ago to this american citizen who was a very nice person a first. He petitioned me and my mother in order for us to stay in the u.s.

Unfortunately, My immigrant status is just a temporary status for the first 2 years. It has this condition that my mom should remain married to my stepfather so that we can remove that restriction after 2 years.

My stepfather is very abusive and we couldnt take it any longer so they decided to get divorce.

The problem is, Me and my mom needs to get that condition removed but they are already seperated (not divorced). My stepfather is needed in this interview that is scheduled next week.

If my stepfather wont show up anymore and they are really gonna get divorced.. Are we gonna be deported for the u.s?

I once dated a man who got five years in jail for beating a guy near death while he was drunk. He claimed that they charged him with aggravated assault, but my friends say that in order to get five years, he must have murdered the guy by accident. Is that true?

If I have to go back to court by him (six years past) because now he is demanding child support. One is 16 and the other 14. He makes alot of money. He is a millionaire plus with an excessive income and real estate. Would the judge rule in his favor because all of a sudden he wants it. We had a verbal agreement years ago in which he stated to me that he would never ask me for child support. I only make 7.25 and hour. Does a judge have empahty in this case?

I was working at an AMC Jeep dealership in West Chester, PA., and this older man walked in. Because I have blonde hair and blue eyes, I think, now I cannot be sure, but , he took a strange interest to me. He confided in me that he thought that all that stuff Hitler brought about will return. I guess by my appearance, he thought I would sympathize with him.......This was years and years ago everyone, and I was totally shocked. He thought I was a part of the "chosen ones". I cannot tell you how that day has affected me ....This was around 1978. Thoughts and ideas anyone? I will never ever forget that day..............thanx

My dad was in the process of a divorce for almost a year. He was also in the process of writing a new will. Neither the divorce nor the will were signed/finalized!

Now, my stepmother (the wife he was divorcing) has submitted an older will to probate which says everything goes to her. Dad had wanted his estate to be divided up amongst his children (as he expressed during the divorce proceedings). He had the latest will completed by a lawyer, but it was never signed. What is the best course of action? There is some possibility the stepmother will respect Dad's wishes, but I'd say it's only a 50-50 chance. Should we contest the older will she submitted (which appears valid) with the idea that Dad's later will (which might not be valid) will at least allow the prior will to be revoked? Then, maybe us kids can get a share of the estate as if there was no will at all? Any other thoughts on this would also be helpful.

On May 15th, there is going to be a "gas-out". All americans are encouraged to avoid filling up their gas tanks on that day. It was done in 1997, and nearly cost the oil companys $3,000,000,000. That is 3 billion dollars. Overnight gas prices dropped nearly 30 cents a gallon. If you are tired of paying $30.00-$50.00 to fill up your car, then join real americans who have had enough of oil companies reporting billion dollar profits each quarter. I know you guys are out there. LET'S DO THIS!! If you can't, then at least pass this on to as many people as you can. Let's show the "have's and the have mores" that the little people have the will and the power to make a stand and be heard!

Ok, ethical delimma here. I've been working for a large but underfunded state organization for about 4 months. I was part-time when I started and made about $13/hr. About a month after I started, I was bumped up to full-time and told I would get a raise to $15/hr. About 3 payperiods passed and the raise still hadn't gone through. I actually had to go to my boss and ask her to put the request in since payroll said they hadn't rec'd anything. When I checked in with payroll this last payperiod, they said that I was in for a big raise in the next paycheck. I thought that they meant the extra $2/hr, but when I got my check, I was making $22.88/hr! I'm elated, but a little worried. I had already asked my boss for a raise or other compensation for all the extra work I do, but she never ok'd anything. I can't believe she would have ok'd such a huge raise. It's possible she and payroll miscommunicated, but I don't know. Should I say anything?

The children at the T. Don Hutto Residential Center in Taylor live in cells & wear uniforms & receive inadequate medical and educational services. They're guilty of no crimes & endanger no1. Their parents are incarcerated here because they are seeking Asylum after fleeing such circumstances as war, torture, political persecution & rape. Teachers at the center aren't required to be licensed in Texas, and the state’s family welfare agency exempted Hutto licensing requirements. Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) is paid 2.8 million dollars a month (7k per child per month or 84k per child per year) to keep these children behind bars. Each child is OBVIOUSLY not getting 7k worth of treatment. Where is the rest of the money going? Why are people allowed to make a profit off of incarcerated children? The ACLU is fighting this, and the UN has been denied access to investigate any crimes being committed. Why is this legal on US soil? Plz See : http://www.myspace.com/free_the_children

I put up flyers at local grocery stores, bowling alleys, pizza joints, the college for openings that I have at a day care that I'm starting on Wednesday. Today (Sunday) I stopped at the grocery store and also went to the pizza place and both flyers were gone. The flyers had tear offs with the phone number on it so I don't believe that the flyer should have gone missing. Do you think the business took it down (even though I asked permission) or do you think someone just took it? Are flyers considered soliciting?
