There is a set time limit already. That being until the voters choose somebody else to the job. Term limits is a terrible concept which will hamstring all political parties. I understand the need to limit the President to only two terms; but for the other office holders, the quality of their ability to represent their constituents is all that matters.

Just because Americans refuse to get involved in the political system does not mean that it is time for radical change. What needs to be done is getting the general public to care about all the elections, not just the Presidential ones.

Absolutely! Term limits need to be put in place. And the people can impose this upon the Congress. Constitutional amendments can be initiated at the grass roots level and work their way up to the Congress. If our elected representatives refuse to cooperate, they can be told either to ratify the amendment, or to hit the road in the next general election. In which case their opposition will be removed little by little anyway, until few enough of them are left that the amendment passes by virtual acclamation.

Absolutely. It should be a single 4 year term with no possibility of running for the same office again. Unfortunately the only people in our country with the authority to limit the terms of politicians are politicians and they have no reason to do so.

Absolutely, we would have been rid of Ted Kennedy a long time ago. Sorry, he's the first one that comes to mind.
