Verbal warnings probably form part of your works disciplinary procedure. If so, they will be recorded and stepped up to a written warning if the problem persists. The verbal warning should be properly documented - this should be explained to you if you have received an official warning. You should ask your supervisor if you have received an official verbal warning or speak to a representative of a union.
Hope this helps

(At work??) I don't think a verbal warnings goes on your record. They just speak to you about what they are not pleased about. Mind you, if you have too many of them (3) then it will go on your record if you do not change your tune, you will be let go! A written warning is signed by you and put on your employement record!! (1) written warning and if you then don't change your attitude/work habits/late's etc or whatever- you are fired!!

No. If it's on your record, that makes it written.

If you are talking about traffic warnings, no; too much of a hassle.
