I think it is not bad to use corporal punishment , not only in child rearing where some children really need it from youth to teens, but in the military and in the jail and prison system.
It is not bound in just a strap or paddle or whip but takes on form in boxing, pugil and martial arts as well, it can even take hold in the rigor of men and women and it is a good and honorable means of dispute resolutions.
I tell you, I would rather see convicts boxing, kicking ***, beating asses, and setting respect and honor with themselves, their brothers the guards and society as a whole through a system of allowance, challenge, and hey, clean cut honest manhoodship over the stabbing and degenerate sickness our current systems deploy.
I favor a network of man, a help to all man network that protects and disciplines all and casts none aside.

The Independent tells us the defenders thereof want to make it a right for people with, say, a terminally illness to say 'tarrah' and jump on the 02.40 to estado de la luz. But wait...isn't suicide one of those 'crimes' you can 'get away' with, in a manner of speaking - if of course you succeed. Criminal punishment sure will not deter the determined...if someone has a cancer that will not leave, or has up to 20 grand mal epileptic fits a day, which even the strongest drugs won't retard, an ASBO (which is what the Brits. tend to hand out) won't mean nowt - it even will make people even more determined. If people want to do it, they will, won't they?

Let's say the accident was minor, just two cars involved, no parties injured and minor damage to both cars.

*Bearing in mind that you would have to state it was not your fault and this would involve 'creating' an alternative version of events in your accident statement to your insurers.

Ok,
So someone sued me for something some time ago. However, the papers were delivered to my EX at my old house and she never gave them to me. Soooo, my court date came/went and months later I find out that I lost the case because I didn't show up.

I can't really afford to hire a lawyer, so what can I do?
Anyone know what forms I could/should look into in an effort to get the case re-opened?

Thanks

every now and then at school we do the pledge of allegience. im the only one in the whole class who does not stand up. the teacher then starts asking me why im not doing it and tells me to do it and i refuse. when he asks why i reply "i do not believe in god i am an atheist". he then asks me what that has to do with anything and i say "dont get me wrong i love my country but i refuse to say the pledge of allegience if it says "one nation under god" he then starts lecturing me in front of the whole class in why i should believe in "god" but it falls on deaf ears. i am the only one out of everybody i know who does not believe "god" is real. what is your opinion on the "under god" part of the pledge of allegience?

Why do people think that Criminals that already don't follow the law will follow new gun laws? Do people really think that making it harder for law abiding citizens to get gun, it will some how make crime drop? Has any one looked at the crime rate in DC? It skyrocketed after they baned guns.

The statistics for mistakes made by CPS are out there. It appears as though more than 60% of the families they get involved with never needed them but are forced to undergo Gestapo tactics. A large percentage of the Social Workers in Children's Protective Services never had their own children--yet think the families should fit into a predetermined mold regardless of culture or familly dynamics. An even larger percentage of these workers were at one time abused as children, or thought they had been treated poorly as children. Young children are taken from their homes, and placed in foster care without any investigating, no warrants from a judge, but the words or lies of someone who does not even know what is going on...and a family can be destroyed. Who is hurt? The children! The Children often need to be protected from these kinds of tactics. Ombudsmen who are there to oversee, get fired for trying to do what is right.

The Supreme Court of India issued notice to the Badal Government of state of Punjab regarding appointing 18 ministers in the cabinet. It has been brought to the notice of the Supreme Court by PIL that appointment of 18 ministers in the state cabinet is unconstitutional as the constitution of India clearly provides that in any cabinet the number of ministers should not be more then 15% of the total strength of the legislature which in case state of Punjab is 117. Since number of 18 ministers makes the percentage as 15.38 it is more then 15% which is constitutionally allowed, hence it amounts to infringement of constitutional provision. According to Badal government the 15% of 117 members makes 15.55 persons which have been made 18 as a whole figure hence 18 ministers are appointed in the state cabinet. Now you decide what should be the real strength of the state cabinet 17 or 18 & why give valid reason keeping in mind the provisions of the constitution of India. Only serious answers.

Say you don't think that they have close family ties to you, or maybe they do. Would society look down, condemn you for wanting to date that person? If you were to marry, it would be like bringing the family back together. What are your thoughts on this, i can't imagine that its happened alot.
