My friend and his brother went to a clothing store to buy some things. As they and other customers walked into the store a beeping sound went off as every customer walked in. They bought what they needed and as they were both walking out again the alarm went off as they walked out. So, they are in the parking lot as they hear some people yelling, they turn around and it's 2 employees asking them to come back to the front of the store. So, they walk back and are asked to take out their receipts and as they, other customers are leaving the store as the beeping sound keeps going off as each person walks by. My friend stated that he doesn't appreciate this bcause the employees are causing a scene as if they stole something. As, the employees are checking out the items in the bag, a third employee barges out of the store yelling and asking if there is a problem. My friend explains what had happened and the employee grabs his necklace and says the necklace is the reason the alram went off.

Ok. So, I was driving down the road, minding my own affairs. I notice a state trooper who pulls behind me. He pulls up close, presumably to get my lisence plate number and the lights come on.

I pull over and he writes me a ticket for a seatbelt violation. I was wearing my seatbelt. Apparently, it has to be over your shoulder. It was just hanging on my arm a little. WTF? This complete bullshit!

Also, how can he make this call from 20 feet away?

Later I find out at the gas station that they've been pulling over people for no apparent reason all day long. What is the seatbelt law? Maybe I was slightly (and just by a ******* inch or two), but this is completley bogus!

So, our crappy state can't generate revenue, and they've doing an involuntary tax increase? Is this what's happening?

Anywhoo, what's the law?

We live in California, we rented our house out a house in Indiana. Our renters abandoned the property and moved to Flordia. They still owe us half the deposit, they left the house full of garbage, they destroyed the carpet ($3000 worth), and they still owe 5 months of the lease. We got lucky to track them down because of a neighbor. I would just like to know all my legal options. I want my money and I will use every option I have whether it be sue, leins, lein warrants, whatever. So my question is, how can I go about fighting back? How can I get my money? What are my options?

A friend of mine is purchasing a car. He settled with the dealer on a 8.9% interest rate and signed the contract (for 8.9%). The dealer then came back and told him that they had to do a 10.9% rate but he refuses to buy it at that price. They have the contract however, and say that they will not let him out of it while they continue to try to get the 8.9%, but it could take up to 3 weeks before they have an answer. Is there any way for him to be able to return the car now? I have no experience in this type of law so I can't help him...

If abortion is not morally wrong, then shouldn't all have a right to it?

But if it is morally wrong, shouldn't it be illegal?

What do you think? Is there any middle road?

I posted this in family section, but think this is a better place. I have a friend who is flipping out about her 10 year old daughter- she thinks the daughter is a pedophile in the making. Apparently the daughter was caught "humping" her younger cousin (around toddler age). It was later found out that the 10 year old had been at several sleepovers at a friends where all the girls were watching late night adult movies on HBO. I don't have kids, but I know this girl in question and I really believe she was "acting out" something she probably saw on tv. My friend said her daughter was not threatening/holding down the other child, it looked like a game. This even furthers my belief that it was very misguided sexual exploration, and the girl did not really comprehend what she was doing. This girl is very sweet, not a bully, and she was not intimidating or threatening the other child by all acounts. My friend is so freaked she is thinking about turning in her own daughter for sexual

I bought it the first day of August and on 5 April the screen started to act faulty and then the mouse would not work. I called BB Customer service and since it was only 6 MONTHS OLD they told me that yes I was still covered under my warrenty. They said it would be back in 12 days. 21 days later still nothing AND no info at all. So I got mad! I called HP and demanded to know what was up. They finally told me that they had been waiting for a part (the whole time, which BB could have easily found out) that wouldn't be in for 5 more days!
So I wait. On may 1 I call for an update and the CSR was unbelieveably rude, repeatedly saying only "We will send it to your doorstep on May 4th" and tied to not transfer me to a supervisor(saying he was busy), tho I was not rude in return!
Today May 8. No computer. AND WHERE IS IT? It was sent to the Best Buy maryland service center. I live in Philly. (So much for my doorstep)
And it is still unrepaired.

I'm proud to be a Texan, and we certainly do use the death penalty. If more people received the death penalty for a variety of crimes then there would be no more crazy people, a decrease in crime, and a less likely chance of a crazy person breeding crazy children for the future generations.

To make a long story short, they accidentally put money in my account...twice! the first time i thought was my money because at the end of the sale they were telling me that in order for me to get the rebate towards my car I needed to show proof of residency. So i did. In a months time i saw the money back into my acct. I get a call about 5 days later letting me know of there error. I told them it was too late because it was already spent. The same person called to inform me of another deposit into my acct and to not touch it. I'm beginning to wonder why this girl is still working there and how many others were affected by her negligence. But i didn't and it was withdrawn the next day. Instead of them trying to figure out a way to get the money I thought was my rebate they went into my acct and just took it...TWICE!!!.Now I'm overdrawn at least $4000. They are willing to give back half but that's not good enough. SHOULD I OR CAN I SUE THE CAR COMPANY AND THE BANK FOR NEGLIGENCE?

As a woman I feel ashamed by it, and I feel a moral responsibiliy to atleast be a part of something that is against pornography infesting our lives.

Any advice OR information on how I can get started on the movement?

( P.S, I will report the piece of $h!t that gives me an answers not respectful of my question).

YOU decided to have and keep this child, so tough! Take responsibility. This man obviously wants nothing to do with you, or your child so let him be. Women depending on child support is a way of life now a days. If you were financially unstable you shouldn't have had this child. Not to say what he did is right, but be better than him. Be everything your daughter needs you to be. One day this will make you and your daughter a better and stronger person. Don't think his life isn't hard as well. He has two other kids, they need to be taken care of, too.

SIDE NOTE: Put yourself in the shoes of the men you call deadbeats, as*h*l*s, losers, etc... try MAKING yourself responsible for a kid you have no feelings for, giving a large portion of your hard earned income to a stranger, being linked to a person you want nothing to do with. The U.S.A. has the dumbest laws on child support ever, and it is a shame that so many women are dependent of the law for revenge to make themselves feel better

I have been having differences of opinion from my family for a long time. It has been years. I have been put through a lot by my family and I can't take it anymore. The main reason for my wanting to leave is there is always screaming at me in my house. I suffer from migraines and when stress comes on I get severe migraines which causes me to miss school. Anyone who suffers from migraines know that they are debilitating. My question is how could I be emancipated in Pennsylvania. I am 15 turning 16 in 2 months. I'm sure my father could let me live on my own but what I need to know is how much money I need to make a month in order to live on my own. I have a job now where I only make $150 a month but as I turn 16 more jobs will open up for me that will pay more. All advice or information is appreciated as this is a very important subject for me. Many thanks.

Curious if I have a case against a negligent landlord. Here's the details: We moved into a rental house. Within a few days, we had PG&E come out and show us how to use the pilot light on heater. He said the gas heater was never cleaned in 50 years. He cleaned it as much as he could. Later that day, it caught fire. It blew smoke into our 6 month-old baby's room. There was a smoke detector in it, but it never went off (we tested it, and it did go beep). Fire trucks came and fixed furnace. We had a pro heater company come out,and said the hole thing was a health hazad - the dirtiest heater he's ever seen, electrical tape holding the ducts together, holes in pipes, plugged up gas stems (he said it could have exploded since it was collecting gas), and on and on. Landlord never installed all the fire alarms, and the ones installed didn't work. Also, water heater had an outtake for the fumes that was removed, so it was pushing carbon dioxide into house. Issues with electrical too. Thoughts?

My ex filed for divorce in Az; I didn't contest it & I allowed him to have full custody of both of my sons. 3 years later, he moved to Las Vegas, NV & didn't tell anyone until almost 4 years later. In the mean time, I moved home to Va & ever since then he has refused to allow me to visit my boys. He is an alcoholic (he has DUI's) & has had many arrests in the past 10 years. He fled AZ because he has warrants there & owes someone 7yrs. of back child support. My child support to them is current (it goes directly to AZ). I don't know anything about NV or where to file to get my rights inforced. I believe that the boys would be better off with me so that there dad can get the treatment he needs. Can someone help me, this is just not fair to my boys or myself?

Do you all think this is rightfully a crime? I mean, do they really expect people (although some do) to turn in their own relatives? A search warrant to search their house is fine. But to charge them with a crime? Are they unfairly "making" people commit crimes? What do you think?

is there a law that states if a UK citizens life is in danger or fear of danger within the UK itself from someone who is not a UK citizen, but they too live in UK, that that person would be sent back to their own country. Basically is there a law which states a UK citizen has more value in the UK, than a non-citizen?
